It was pot limit, but yeah you are right.
09-24-2007 , 11:35 PM
I haven't played that high but I'd agree that 29 isn't good. To up your winrate, go to showdown less. The point where you're losing money for each additional % of WtSD should be a good deal lower than that imho. However, this is only referring to full ring. It's also a function of your VPIP.
09-24-2007 , 11:41 PM
at those stakes there are probably a lot more pots where the morans never bet the best hand and so you end up going to showdown with nothing in a small pot... that might account for part of why your stats there are a lot different than mine
09-24-2007 , 11:43 PM
He shortstacks a lot. That is prob the diff.

lower vpip = higher wtsd

I don't know about higher vpip, exactly. wtsd is a ratio, so the more hands you play, the less often (in percentage ratio) you'd go to showdown, I'd think, but it's not linear.
09-25-2007 , 12:05 AM
hmm...I'm not really a nit. My vpip is over 16 in this sample and I still have a wtsd at over 29%. Anyone know how to filter it so it only counts hands with more than 60 BB or something? I don't think it will change that much since its over 28 in my sample at NL100 and NL50 which I've never shortstacked. Also, my vpip is considerably higher at these levels too.

There was about 5 or 6 regs per table, but the donks still made it profitable.

Oh and stacking reggie with a turned set of jacks vs. his flopped set of 3s on your last orbit helps as well.

had another good session tonight. 39k hands in, first $10k month is within striking distance, just under $1k to go. still in disbelief.
09-25-2007 , 02:25 AM
I decided I'm not going to stop playing 22/17, 50% atsb.

It is just too damn fun.

I have 2k hands so far, plan to play at least 20k before revising my plan.

That's a pretty sweet call, but you forgot to mention he was a 66/36/2.7 donk I finally figured out who you are on FT lol...and now I'm not going to try bluffing you.

Edit: Nevermind about the not bluffing you part, just noticed the villain stacked off like 7 or 8 times within 256 hands.
