Snow is the best. I will have 5 winters in a row... that is if I don't go skiing next summer!

I never learned to ski since most of my life has been spent in Georgia and Arizona, so I prefer to sit inside next to a roaring fire with a good book and a hot chocolate while the snow swirls around outside.

Edit: PS Sunrise, just a quick 5 hour drive lol, is not too bad for skiing. Although AZ drivers + snow = SCARY!

They really did not have it this year. Pitching was meh and clutch hitting was gone with Matsui and Damon leaving.

Time to reload for next year. Look forward to watching our new pitcher in the world series this year.

We also need a new catcher behind the plate. Time for Jorge to dh or gtfo (sorry old friend but pride is a dangerous sin)

I think you know...I lived in Phoenix for about 15 years. On the NW side - Arrowhead Ranch, then off of Carefree Hwy just a few miles from Ben Avery. There are definitely some things I miss about Arizona but I was ready for a change from Phoenix's congestion and exploding growth. Now we'll see how much I really miss it when my first Michigan winter hits.

LOL, love to hate the Yankees. I haven't followed baseball in a few years now. I was a faithful Braves fan for years before Bobby Cox came in and taught them how to win. Then when the Diamondbacks entered the league, I was loyal to them until they fired Brenly. That ticked me off and at the same time it seemed like everyone was cheating with steroids and I stopped watching. To me, baseball is at its best when its a game of skill and strategy. Leave the steriods and bulking up for football.

I don't know how well Posada can play his position now, but I'd have to think the Yankees would be hard pressed to match his offensive production from that position. I don't follow MLB that closely anymore, but are there any good power hitting catchers out there now?

I don't know how appreciated this is, but one of the big keys to the Yankees' success is that they have consistently good hitting from their middle positions.

And this might be a problem if Jeter has another season as crappy as this one.

No Job + Extra Money = Time to Travel! We're going to Colombia November through January. Seems like a nice way to spend the winter. We're going travel around a bunch. I know we're going to the Atlantic Coast and the Coffee region, I'm not sure where else we're headed. But we got time, so I'm not worried.

Again, all this was in Newport, KY across the river from Cincinnati. Highly recommended. Lunch on the river bank immediately afterwards was also pleasant.
