It was an awesome day. Another concert tonight, with lots to see today an tomorrow before heading home on Sunday.
Larchmont has a pretty good Thai restaurant that I like http://www.yelp.com/biz/bangkok-thai...ant-mamaroneck

What kind of place you looking for tonight in the city?

No, I'm talking about amorality and a total lack of a sense of right and wrong. If I don't get caught I can do whatever I want. This attitude to me is unethical, no matter what we are talking about, and I see it every day.

This isn't an italian nor european problem, it's worldwide. I'm sure you see it everyday, but the fact that you've seen it in Italy, doesn't make it an italian/european problem. I'm pretty sure you're aware of that, anyway.

Basically as a parent you try to make the best decision you can with the information you can. We were concerned about the effects of vaccines and speculation about, even though we knew nothing was definitive either way, but we also believe in the benefits of vaccines. What we ended up doing was following a vaccination schedule by a Dutch Physician (which is starting to become the standard in a lot of European countries), which spread out some of the vaccines, and separated vaccines that could have interference with each other. So my kids will be fully vaccinated by the time they go to school, but instead of going in to a doctors office and receiving 5 vaccines at one time, we have more visits and add another year to the schedule.

The only vaccine I really consider not having my kid get was the chicken pox vaccine, since its a seemingly harmless child hood disease, but a dangerous adult disease, but in the end we got that one also.

Outside of true Obama fanatics, I can't think of anyone in the US that thinks he deserves the Nobel Peace prize. The best thing he could do is to hold a press conference and say, "While I appreciate the honor, I believe that the Nobel Peace prize should be given to someone who has put in years of work and achieved real results. It is too early in my presidency for this judgment to be made. Therefore, I decline the honor, with thanks."
Obama got the Nobel peace prize for the same reason we all should get it. He is not George Bush.

I have lived in five countries on four continents, and it has never struck me as much as here. It's just a general disrespect for rules and other people's rights and concerns.

Krantz had a sick sick session in the latest 2m2m

Edit: Best episode so far imo

Back to the vaccine issue, why are you guys talking about those nutjobs that avoid every vaccine? Their like more difficult to find then a needle in a haystack.

5 countries is nothing amongst ~200. And, fwiw, i live in portugal and i practically don't see what you're saying (but i reckon this is worthless info). But i hear there are bombs exploding in israel/palestine, wars going on etc, a lot of homicides in US and brazil, people still dying from hunger, etc, etc, etc, i mean, what are you talking about, give me a break.

Yeah, that is what I'm saying. The exact dogma is not necessarily the best, but you have done research from (hopefully decent sources) and discussed it with your kid's doctor. Nothing wrong with that. Especially if it is becoming standard of car in many other countries. Standards of care continually evolve, but the evolve based on evidence. As long as your reasons are backed by evidence, and not "I feel" or "So and So said that..."

There are not a ton of people like that, but they are very vocal so they can do a disproportionate amount of damage. What got me off on this whole tirade is this chiropractor who is a friend of a friend.

As soon as he figured out I can decipher his big words and smooth talk he instantly stopped talking to me.

Also, regarding your post a while ago about not being able to tell the difference between good sources and bad sources, I'm going to work on making some pointers. Still haven't had a ton of time to put towards that project.

Edit: Crap, I was thinking about doing a little poast for my 1000th (poker related haha). Haven't wrote it yet and 1000 is creeping up. Oh noes!!!

Edit #2: I had never really thought about how this community is similar to a peer reviewed scientific community.

We publish our ideas here and then they are either ripped apart and s*** on by the community or accepted and reinforced.

It finally showed them playing poker, the random Vegas hijinks they take part in have gotten old.

I'm an Obama supporter (more or less) but WTF? I guess this is just the Bush effect. Like Eddie Murphy's bit about dying of hunger and thirst in the desert would make a saltine cracker taste better than anything you've ever eaten before.

LOL, yes and no.
Roy Keane is a total chump imo. His "revenge attack" here was in retaliation for the last time he went to do Haaland (back in his leeds days) and injured himself in the process.

I much prefer Micheal Ball's method of dealing with ronaldo.

Ronaldo converted the subsequent penalty to win the game, and Ball got banned for 3 matches by the FA. It's pretty clear who got better off. There's no doubt in my mind that the players who act violenty in such a blatant way in televised games against divers are part of the supreme idiots of football, just lol.

There was no penalty for that incident. Ball's actions were simply dealing out the punishment where the FA/FIFA don't have the guts. Fantastic.
