I don't think this is particularly the case (i.e. I think they're fine to C/R, but I don't think that's why I'm getting C/R'd)

Eh session, up 2.5BI quickly and finished even. Last two sessions finished almost dead even, sadly this better than the rest of the months sessions.

Few hands, thoughts?

BB is 42/19/3 over 121 hands, anyone check/folding river instead?

c/r, didn't want to overbet ship, figured best way to get money in vs Qx is to let them bet first. But I guess they might call a ship anyway.

edit: to meglooo

On the other hand, he might call a bet with a medium PP but check behind w/ it. But ships over your bet w/ a Q anyway I'd say...

imo bet > c/r

OK so I've been looking at player's positional stats pretty closely the past few sessions I played.

Nits are nits blah blah blah
Fish are fish blah blah blah

The big differences in player differences are in supposed TAGs and "regs"

There are players who run 18/18 UTG to ~24/20 BU
There are players who run 10/10 UTG to ~24/20BU but 40/xx in SB/BB
There are players who run 10/10 UTG to ~40/35 BU

The first are the ******s you can 3-bet from any position, and actually best to 3-bet their UTG open
The second are the players that mostly C/F when you open LP
The third are the players that are the worst to play against and are always going FUUUUUUU

The big thing here is that if you're just simply looking at your HUD, all 3 of these players look like your standard TAG (though I suppose #2 may have a slightly higher VPIP)

Furthermore, most TAGs (yes even those ******ed regs that 3-bet a lot, and 3-bet more from the blinds than IP) actually simply fold their SB/BB a LOT.

And this is actually not an overstatement and isn't something I've thought about before.
Even if the guy is 3-betting 15% of the time, he's calling maybe 0-15% of time, and thus folding 70+% of the time.

Now if they happen to call (won't discuss 3-bet dynamics because we get into 4-bet and playing 3-bet pots IP which wasn't my main point) they have a very narrow range (not that I mean they have strong value hands like AA, but I mean their calling range are a small selection in terms of hand combos), a lot of which are capable of C/R'ing a lot of boards, because they're thinking about their cards, not my c-betting frequency, and their hand matches up with the board nicely.

This makes me wonder if I should have a very wide range for opening CO/BU against regs, c-bet slightly less than I already do, and open tighter vs. the fish.
