BE seems quite awesome so far

Story line is interesting has many different angles to go in, is very tightly written and doesn't seem to leave behind dead threads/plot points/etc

Characters are diverse and interesting, only one I surprisingly don't care for yet is Chalky, he seems to thug for the time. Could just be that I'm trying to picture Omar during the period though. They do a good job of mixing Wire style of straight forward character types, but give them a lot more depth than the wire ever did(my biggest complaint about that show)

Sets are amazing looking, and its cool to have a period piece that isn't strictly a historical documentary

I think BE is awesome, if they do this right it'll be up there with The Wire, Sopranos, Deadwood etc I think.

just a quick example of how fees thinks about things to prove my point.

several years back in vegas fees said something about he thought shaun deeb was freddy deebs nephew. i laughed at him and somehow got him to bet me on it. i think i had to lay him 2:1 or something. when fees found out he wasnt and that he had lost the bet he told me that the reason he thought they were was bc they had the same last name and both played poker or something like that.
lol what, u basically just said hes as intelligent as a 10 year old and therefore he wouldnt angleshoot or scam people

lol lucid, that is an incredibly horrible attempt to defend fees

lol looks like you should have not only restricted friends from posting in that thread fees, but anywhere on the forums to prevent yourself from looking any dumber

no its not.

what i said was that while most of us would email the OP or the judge to get a clear ruling on whether we could play or not before we booked 25k in action fees may not due to a lack of being thorough/common sense.

i also never stated he would or wouldnt do anything. i just gave my opinion based on my interactions w/ him of what i thought to be a more likely scenario. if u read more into it than what i specifically wrote then that is ur misunderstanding, not mine.

I fail to see how your argument is anything other than "Fees has no common sense/is ******ed therefore you guys are being to hard on him he probably didn't even know what he was doing."
12-17-2010 , 01:24 PM
Being dumb as a brick doesn't prevent one from being a scumbag also. Between your story, Lucid, and the ugl thread, Fees comes across as both.
12-17-2010 , 01:31 PM
u guys have to form ur own opinions. i read prob 10% of the whole thread and got prob 50-60% of the details in it. anyway, im done now posting about the topic as i wasnt trying to get into a discussion about it and like i said, i dont even have all the details and am not going to go thru that huge thread and read them all.

The problem is your argument basically falls apart when you consider the fact he had a conversation with a 'good friend' prior to attempting it.

Even under the assumption that fees was just relating 'dude check this out, i'm gonna go for the badge!' and the friend responded 'ummm, you shouldn't do that....', wouldn't that prompt anybody to get it clarified 100% at that point?

Unless of course the $25k he put on the line is completely meaningless to him and wasn't worth 10 minutes to type up a PM to the judge.

why don't you guys just leave it to rest? Jesus christ. He escrowed the money, now shut the **** up.

Obviously anyone is going to hesitate to bet with him now, beating the dead horse isn't going to help anyone.

It's our moral obligation to see to it that unethical parties within the poker community receive the maximum amount of grief and ridicule.

Man, I was at that game (season ticket brag) and it was the most tilting ending to a home game ever. Everyone was going crazy thinking we won, only to hear that somehow they don't give our superstar the benefit of the doubt. I've always hated the Spurs (esp that balding mother****er Ginobli) more than any other team, but now its personal

the strangest thing to me about this is why fees did it. he obv had more ev playing his normal stakes; did he think it would be fun to grind micros or something for a month? makes no sense.

always thought he was a dbag fwiw. i remember him slowrolling my friend for no reason whatsoever in an ssnl game four years ago and thinking "wtf." not to mention i've always found him to come across as a megadouche on 2p2 (free ebook notwithstanding). i remember seeing him post a while ago that he doesn't take 2p2 seriously or something, but i'm in the camp that thinks there's somewhat of a connection between internet persona and real life personality regardless of how "seriously" a person claims he takes the internet.

I would have to disagree, and so would pretty much everyone who has ever met me IRL I think.

I would have to say that 99% of the time, how someone acts online very accurately represents their personality/character

obviously there are some outliers
