One on hand, having guys making micro videos that only play micro stakes is good because they are in those games day in and day out. On the other hand, (and please don't take any offense to this) anyone who is playing microstakes games and is not moving up either 1) has some major holes in their game or 2) is not comfortable taking much risk (not necessarily a good quality for a poker player).

Furthermore, I believe it's important to teach people how to win at poker, not just show them winning strategies at each level. You are absolutely right -- if you aren't playing a level day in and day out, you won't have a crystal clear idea of the typical ranges you'll encounter at each level. However, all else equal, if we have guys beating 100, 200nl+ teaching guys at the micro/small stakes, we *probably* have people who have a better fundamental understanding of the game teaching poker than someone who is grinding 10 or 25nl for a living. I've always thought getting people who have a great understanding of the game and the ability to articulate their thoughts was more important than simply getting the highest winrates at each level and showing their style to other players.

Truth is, it's probably best to balance these two types of instructors. We'll work on that. Thanks and I appreciate the feedback so far and anything else anyone has.

if you are gonna go with anyone, go sign up sleekest and call it a day. no one who posts in this thread can boast a winrate as good as his; moreover, he doesnt play like a complete nit, which would make for more interesting vids.

either that or evil teapot. v articulate and impressive winner at 50nl/100nl. slaggish.

If this is what microstakes full ring poker on the internet has come down to in 2010, buying in short has to be the best way to beat the game. Discuss/flame.

I mvery little variance. And Id like to see a coach that presents videos with that kind of philosophy.
********** from dc, he's a good coach, and makes good video that advocate solid abc'ish play. thoough 12/10 is a little too tight for me.

gregGGhehe should have been an instructer on a video site. his style gets into all sorts of intersting spots.

This was my major problem with rush. I've never played a game where you just dont win pots at showdown. You can win a ton of little pots and chip up slowly but most people play so nitty at 25 rush that you have to run like god to win at a good rate at 25 imo.

Figuring out how to beat 25nl Rush has eluded me. I swear I've seen some of the craziest ****. I win so many small pots by stealing dead money pre or c-betting the flop, but everything gets dumped if I see a river.
