400-500k plus rakeback is a good estimate for this year, 3-4 ptbb/100

I lived there for 3 years and was a reg in the 5/10nl uncapped game for a lot of that time. Then i moved back to NY. In a week i'm moving back to LA but will probably play mostly online just playing live to break the mononety of it all and to see some old friends. It's also so satisfying to actually verbally tell someone you are gonna take all of their money and following through... several times... and watching them leave after you busted their roll... LOL

haha that is true, live poker can get really boring though. I've found that if you try to talk to people a lot it can be more enjoyable. However when I do that I find it sometimes difficult to maintain my campaign of mis-information agaisnt the rest of the table.
12-23-2008 , 08:13 PM
yea i mean there are a TON of regs at the bike who are there like 5 nights a week some of them so fun to play with cause the game turns into one long laughing fit... (at least back then... maybe its totally different now but i bet if i walked in there right now i would know at least 3 people in any 5/10 game)

makes the game so good too when everyone is having a blast like that. I rarely partake in 6th street (what tommy angelo refers to the talk after a hand about the hand) anymore cause its just pointless. Once i get my live groove back i **** with peoples heads in many ways i won't disclose but they work... sometimes so well i scare myself.

Thanks... will do once i get moved out to cali at the end of the year. And what do you mean by pimped out?
12-23-2008 , 10:32 PM
haha i dunno, i just read that you had one before so i probably can't tell ya that much, but ive been answering a lot of macbook pro questions since i got mine

also i recommend vmware over bootcamp fsho
12-23-2008 , 10:41 PM
Really? i ran vmware on my old one cause i never upgraded my OSX version so bootcamp wasn't an option but right now i use bootcamp on my iMac and its so much better. I don't see how virtualization software could possibly be better than running windows natively but if I'm wrong (entirely possible) please enlighten me.
12-23-2008 , 10:48 PM
I dunno, its just pretty sweet that you don't have to reboot in Windows; I've got Windows on my external and mac on the laptop when i poker. You can also run it in Unity Mode, so you can completely integrate the two, but I don't really feel the need for that. Also, I think it's pretty cool to have your own little poker sector on your laptop, then just suspend the screen quit out and tuck away your sorrows when you finish your session.
12-23-2008 , 11:59 PM
yea its super annoying to have to reboot every time... but it runs so much better. but then again my old laptop was pretty old and run down by the time i started using vmware so maybe it would ran way better on this machine.
12-24-2008 , 12:04 AM
What are the pluses of Unity Mode? I just tried it out and couldn't really tell what it did.
