nothing on villain, my plan was to check raise the turn and it back fired.

SB: $5.41 (108.2 bb)
BB: $6.60 (132 bb)
UTG: $5.14 (102.8 bb)

BTN: $4.93 (98.6 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K

Don't xr turn, riverbet isn't terrible I guess but against a guy who appears to be a buttonclicker (raises this flop + not fullstacked) x/c river is superior.

Fold now, that line is very nutted ime.

Ive been experimenting lately with check raising turns in spots like this with AA/KK etc and its been working very well. It seems to be making people stack off pretty like, even guys who seem to be playing half decent, when Im 3betting flops people slow RIGHT down pretty much always.

Need to b/f this turn. He's not jamming a draw most often so you can guess 8 or boat is likely if he shoves

C/r one pair on turn is generally not good

I also think vs an unknown its fine to reraise flop/get it in.

I rather just x/c river again as played, this is for pot control and to get value from bluffs. Bet/folding is obviously fine too, but we bet with the intention to fold to a raise as raising on rivers are pretty nutty, especially considering he raised the flop.

x/r turn would only remove all bluffs from his range and likely isolate yourself against better hands

If we raise flop we force him to fold all his bluffs. If we don't reraise flop we keep all his bluffy trash in his range. Plus, his raise otf is very polarized because the flop is so dry. His raise represents something like 22, an 8 or an overpair, BUT a lot of the time he'll just have complete air. Against either of these options a raise is not the best play.

I agree that we fold out his air by raising flop and most of the time just calling his raise is the way to go.

Having said that I think raising flop is fine every now and then to get value from TT-JJ and maybe QQ if he doesn't 3b it pre. I mean we are only losing to 22 and 8x so it can't be terrible.

Not really sure what he checks back turn with but he has a ton of 8x in his range so seems like a fold on the river.
