i wouldn't worry too much about VGA vs DVI, just use what your monitor and graphics card support. i have a 2048x1152 resolution monitor with VGA input (2x DVI outputs on my graphics card and DVI->VGA adapters) and i challenge anybody to notice any difference vs a DVI connection... it looks very good.

also note that DVI doesn't necessarily always mean digital, it can also carry analog signal.

just saw inception and the scene in Paris is 50meters down from where I live, was pretty fun what to see what they did with the special effects :d

Spoiler:

Apart from that I thought the movie was really too easy on the mind, plot is way too predictable once you understand how the subconscious works and characters are shallow/ambiguous in a way that makes you not really care what happens to them =/ Still a good action movie imo, and a pretty sick topic that could've been better exploited.

Sounds good to me.

I built my comp (AMD Opteron 165 overclocked) prob 4 years ago and it's still kicking.

If you are just watching movies, running a hud, etc, any half way decent computer will do.

If there's a fixed time frame for this to take place (e.g. must finish within 4 weeks) I will bet a few hundred on jungleman at even odds. However if it could end up like the PA challenge I'm not bothering to bet.

durrrr said smth like 'i want to knock this out before [insert live event]' and also 'i can do 2 at once cause we'll get done in 2 weeks' so yeah i dont think time is an issue really with these guys they seem motivated to play pretty soon and pretty often

jungleman,
I'll ship you $2 (or what is the min transfer?) on FTP if you don't start playing this challenge until next friday... I'm just moving and I won't get internet before friday, and I wanna rail. Think about my offer.

Lol wut? DVI is pretty much HDMI without audio transfer and it supports up to 2560x1600 @ 60hz. Even single link DVI (which is the older one) is capable of transferring 1080p or WUXGA. You'd have to be suicidal to ever use monitor's own speakers rather than tear your ears out, so you don't really need HDMI for anything for computer monitors.

Anyway, the point was that DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort are all OK, but avoid VGA if possible.

I'll put a few hundred on Durrrr if what the above poster said is true about it being completed soon. Send to Jordan Morgan on FTP to confirm, or post here I guess. 400 max
