Good equity hand - line to take? Good equity hand - line to take?

Villain 17/12 over meaningless sample size. No other reads or info.

Is reraising flop reasonable? Lots of draws in villains likely button calling range (though I don't know if he raises them) If we assume his raising range is only made hands 98s, 88, 99, 44 we have 35% equity so a call in that case can't be too bad, can it?

Away from poker for a couple years. Getting back into it now for mostly fun. I hear the games are super soft these days

Thanks.

25nl

BTN: 238.2 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 20.00, Hands: 12)
Hero (CO): 122.2 BB

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has T Q

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, fold

Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 4 8 9
Hero bets 5 BB, BTN raises to 14 BB, Hero calls 9 BB

Turn: (35.4 BB, 2 players) 4
Hero checks, BTN checks

River: (35.4 BB, 2 players) 3
Hero checks, BTN bets 16 BB, fold

BTN wins 33.8 BB
Rake paid 1.6 BB

prefer calling OTF than reraising because if he has something like 2pair or a set and he comes over the top he probably your probably behind.

I think the hand is fine.
OTF U had the lead and stabbed. I would raise with something with AQs. AJs not likely because from stats hes more on the passive side of the spectrum and would call with JJ.
3bet call is fine considering pot odds of hitting.

OTT his check is a bad sign for pot control, something like top pair, small OPair or trapping with a boat counting that U hit your draw.
I don't think anyone would check with 2 pairs here. Rather bet to make price Your draw.

You could consider betting the river like halfish pot but when he raised flop is rather naaah.

Dont like the idea to: "prefer calling OTF than reraising because if he has something like 2pair or a set and he comes over the top he probably your probably behind." because for me is generaly -EV to raise to gain information.

For me well played.

I raise the flop, looking to get it in.

Sure, sometimes you will be up against a set or 2 pair and look foolish, but boy are you making it hard for him if he has an overpair. Sometimes you will get it in with his 5,6 or 6,7 spades and have great equity...or fold out his TJ, JQ which he semi bluffed with. Even if he has raised you as a bluff with Ace high or 55, you are still behind. Getting those hands to fold on the flop is a win. As a bonus, this type of hand also gives you some balance for the times you want to do the same with a set yourself. Just my 2c.

Interesting point of view. Your cojones are really big brother. I admire.

But is it +EV to spaz 122BB to win 26BB when U gonna get called only by better hands and U gonna have arround 35% EQ ?

I'm not playing 25nl so I don't know the game there much but is that kinda play vs unknown V is really the best line ?

I think bet/call flop is fine.C/r is option too imo.
Ott c/r looks like cool line.
Otr-Bet.For sure you folding all A and K high flush draws and its not the best spot for him even if he has 89 which is pretty much the top of his range in this spot.
