This is what happens when coaches and people in charge of MDA stables give their students basic blueprints without explaining why they are doing something. I'm sure it went something like blah blah C-X-F is over folded so just ship it.
This guy is representing a flush but
1. Most flushes are blocked by the board.
2. Population over double barrel flush draws OTT
woops

I’m honestly a bit surprised to see you criticize Detox, seemed like you were pretty hard into their whole thing
There's other MDA stables as well but that is the biggest one.
Yeah I liked them initially because I wanted to learn MDA and was fascinated by it. But after reading about people's experiences at Detox and following Nick Howard on twitter for two years I think it's very clear he is a polarizing individual with a massive ego.
I'm sure people have had good experiences with Detox (John Rusty seems to like it and he's at 500nl now) but it's not for me at all.
I do like Patrick Howard's work on poker, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

I find Patrick provides interesting and well-reasoned perspectives. Nick just seems like a douche.
doubt you'd get enough folds there anyway for that sizing... lots of KT/KQ/KJ and 2p going to be very sticky imo. Jamming on spade would have been reasonable tho

Yeah after thinking about it, I think the whole sizing scheme is spew with bluffs. I don't even like it with the solver approved As9x.
I keep finding spots in my session that are solver approved/close enough to it at equilibrium but just end up being punts in reality.
Here is a turn spot that a solver likes but it is just bad in practice.

Turn ($12.68): 9 9 J 6
HERO Checks, CO Bets $8 (Rem. Stack: $449.11), HERO Raises To $29.04 (Rem. Stack: $68.57), CO Calls $21.04 (Rem. Stack: $428.07)
River ($70.76): 9 9 J 6 Q
HERO Bets $68.57 (allin), CO Calls $68.57 (Rem. Stack: $359.50)
Spoiler:
CO shows: K 9
CO wins: $204.90
This hand is another example (solver doesn't ship river but it's a really small mistake in theory).
But in reality this turn xr sucks. It's because people don't double barrel these paired boards (when the pair is relevant so not like 22x/33x etc) often enough and when they do they are overly strong so I should just fold turn (probably fold flop too).
Haha just realized this is K9o owning me again.
