I played pretty safe for once today and didnt get in big pots unless I had it but this hand had me intrigued. I really thought i was ahead, but I feel like I have been making marginal calls like this since I started playing and I feel like I am usually wrong.

Yeah don't 3 bet this vs fish so just fold it in the sb pre.

    ^^This

No need to get in this spot with a crap hand, when we can wait a hand and have position.

Fold pre. Do something other than lead otf.

I think you can call pre.... but leading flop is weak and its DEFINITELY A FOLD OTF, shouldn't even need to think about it... everything he has has us crushed

Definitely not folding pre vs. anyone. Fish play passively postflop, so there's times where we actually can get to showdown OOP here (not to mention when we hit our set we get paid off if he hits any piece). And against regs, I like to call pre and c/r on good bluffing boards.

I hate leading the flop though.

You should be 3betting or folding small pps here pre.

They simply play horribly vs a wide range.

Villain is a fish, we'd just be bloating the pot OOP with a hand that plays bad in 3bet pots.

Yes, my comment was about regs.

You should only be calling with 22 out the SB if you know what your doing post flop, I don't know in general but this hand indicates differently.
    Don't lead flop.
With 22 for 99% of the time if we dont hit the set we dont put another cent in the pot.

    fold pre
    as played fold otf

This is the easiest hand in the world - maybe check your skill-level (?) (hope that does not sound too harsh - it's only meant as a good advice)

Edit: regarding the set-mining comments before -> this is a BTN open and not UTG/MP
