Combine some of the thoughts of numerous COTWs to figure this out.

For instance, in the first COTW I did (Equity Exploration), I talked about BE numbers for things like 3betting/restealing. Numerous people have talked about BE numbers for 4betting, CBing, postflop bluffing, dubbing, etc. Or, just do some basic math yourself =) You will get more out of doing some work on your own (maybe write the COTW yourself!) than just reading a stat manual imo...

Most Ufr'ers arent playing poker anymore anyways. Might as well learn some skills that are helpful for when you go outside.

I'm not very good, but I go out and grind like 4 times a week. I'm like the 10nler of pua. I used to pass out to deucescracked and cardrunner vids. Now I pass out to the equivalent of that in pua. It's a pretty useful skill knowing if you need you can go outside and get a girl/girlfriend. Day game is pretty cool, the quality of chicks in clubs and bars is meh compared to daytime.

Just like in poker there are alot of topic that most people don't even know about.
1)cold approach(direct vs indirect)
2)social circle( hunting vs farming)
3)relationship management(**** buddies vs multi relationship vs conventional plus)
4) frame control

I think pua gets a very bad rep. Think of style(the guy that wrote the game) as phil hellmouth. If the only thing you knew about poker came from phill hellmouth how would you feel. I mean he is still teaching opinion openers and some ******ed over the shoulder ****. With routine stack lol.

COTW on live poker, stacking ranges for 75-100bbs there, preflop hands to play (obv can't play 16/13 as online etc). Opinion about open limping / limp-calling small pps & SCs in middle position, etc. I tried live the other night and did some bad AA / QQ overpair folds vs check raises with 100bb stack, hours later saw people playing TT like that n shiz...

I think there is no way of subscribing to them since the system doesn't know they are part of a series of threads. You'll have to check the relevant forums occasionally.

I've read a lot of the COTWs and not spotted this, but are there any that address specifically the chosen line of check-calling, and why and in what spots we would consider it.

I've been having a lot of thoughts lately about this subject. I know it's generally the least favourable option because by it's very nature it's a passive stationy play, but there has to be some place for it, although deciphering when it is the best option is difficult for me.

Maybe it just needs a COTW on why NOT to do it, and when NOT to do it.

You should offer to do one. i would be pretty interested to hear you thoughts on it, especially with you doing a lot of thinking about ti lately. i think its something that gets a little bit ignored, and does have merits at times, exceptionally at these levels.

Ok I will have a go at one and if nothing else it should hopefully generate some discussion that will help me.
