Villain cbets flop/turn stats are 65/71. I put Villain on a range of 22+, 78s+, ATo+, broadways. Does that seem about right?

OTR, I'm given odds of about 2.5 to 1. Is calling the right play?

You have just a BC OTR, turn was a bad card to bluff even with that bet size, i prefer fold OTR. I don't think he is too strong like sets but he got more value than you way more often here.

Im folding on the flop to be honest, at these stakes I only continue with small pocket pairs if I hit my set or flop an open ended straight draw.

Calling here against a competent player is extremely marginal at best. Look for fat value at 2nl

Continuing on flop/turn is generally fine but with the stats you have on the guy he is pretty tight and I'm folding OTF a dece %, but on the river always

Is calling the flop and turn that bad? I was thinking having 66 on a flop like that, I will not be behind that often against his range, and the turn bet was less than half pot size.

There must be something wrong with my understanding.

That's the thing about 2nl. People are so bad that it's difficult to put them on very accurate ranges. Your range for him is extremely wide and random, and you're probably right.

True, you can expect to be ahead on this flop a good amount of the time. But what do you do if he bets the later streets? Your hand is already weak, and more than half the deck could hit the turn and make it weaker (the 2d was actually lucky in that regard). It's very difficult to realize your equity in this spot, and you might as well just fold the flop. Before you make this play, you should have a specific read on villain that he Cbets then checks down if it doesn't work (this is pretty common at 2nl). If for some reason you do want to try this readless, definitely only do it with much higher pairs, such as TT on a Q63 flop. Those hands are more likely to be ahead and less likely to deteriorate on later streets.
