the freddie constant is not expensive and is one of my favorite looking watches at this price point. you can get one for under $1,000.
this is my freddie constant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS4CqhtuqVc only mine has blue hands
Wow, those are sharp. I may have to get one of those instead of a Hamilton now...

If it's good enough for diskoteque then it is more than good enough for me.

See i personally prefer the simpler ones, I don't really like that Longine. Love the Carrera you posted Custer, and really love that Visodate. Maybe something like that would be a better next purchase, as stylistically it gives me more options with my current watches.

Check out these too then:

http://www.stowa.de/Marine/index.htm

Also if you area fan of the visodate that are a lot of cheaper watches that are alternatives. Orient makes a ton in that style:

The symphony(210$ but can get 30% off)
Here

Just check out their executive line:

Theres also Daniel Wellington(note quartz movement). Which is about as simple as simple gets.

If you are looking at Frederique Constant, I encourage you to consider saving up for the new one with the fully in house movement and skeleton rotor. It will be a bit more expensive than a regular Frederique Constant with ETA movement but its really the most affordable Swiss in house manufacturers around.

yeah, that it is very nice.

I also like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8j6L...eature=related

also, as one of the more savvy timepiece people on this forum I am curious which online retailer, if any, you use.

ETA: is there anywhere on the internet other than ebay or craigslist that offers a trading forum for people to buy/sell their used pieces?

so as to not turn this thread in to a watch thread.

i need a different hair style. i have thick hair and it grows back very quickly. up until now ive been getting it cut by a local barber but will be moving and need to find something new. i'm in a big city so i have many choices.

should a man ever go to a salon? or use product? i have yet to experience either except for the occasional gel in a formal situation. i just need something new and don't know where to go and what to say when i get there. anywhere online i can look at different cuts?
08-23-2012 , 05:19 PM
Got to salon, dont be afraid to use product.

Its all about your hair texture and face shape.
08-23-2012 , 05:59 PM
I started going to a salon and using product ~6 months ago. Hair-related compliments have increased tenfold since. If that makes me less manly then so be it.

Also when using product make sure its good stuff, a while back i started watching random videos from this guy on youtube:

Albeit he already has good looking hair but still.

flip flops are awful. Those shorts do not look like they fit properly. They look like they are ballooning off your hips.

A real Swiss watch won't use quartz (yes, you can get cheap quartz Swiss watches or a lower end model for a good Swiss watch company might use quartz) and it's movement will be Swiss (but other components might be foreign because that is obviously cheaper just like pretty much any other thing you buy.)

Obviously. That's mostly what you are doing with Swiss watches because the brand has earned a reputation through history. That's why Rolex is more expensive than any comparable watch (Omega for example).

But these watches are also better quality than the best Seiko or Citizen. You are honestly a fool and have no respect for the history of Swiss watchmaking if you decide to buy a Grand Seiko over a comparable Swiss watch.
So basically your argument is "Rolex is more expensive because some thing something marketing and history, so obviously it's better"?

+1

As you get older / have more money you should get more services but you should be going to a salon for haircuts and using product.

When picking a salon / stylist this is a frustrating process. Cheap means bad but expensive does not mean good. About 80% of fancy places are just as bad as the cheap ones (worse since you get a **** haircut but are out more money).

If you want to use gel the best one I've ever tried is Anthony Logistics. What you use really depends on your hair and the look you are going for.

Presumably as a student money is tight so unless your raking it in from poker wait until you have a job but by 26-28 you should be taking care of your skin as well.

The prices make me think it is a joke. We don't have Express in Canada but it is a pretty ****ty brand and those prices are nothing to brag about.

Don't know what's more painful about that - the outfit, or the grammar.
08-25-2012 , 09:50 AM
I also find it strange that people have FB friends that they interact like that with. I'd probably say something about that outfit but in a gentle way. These two seem to dislike each other so why are they on each other's facebooks
