As henry says, dressing better when going to a club is fine. But overdressing for normal days on campus is bad

The people that think you are a dick are the ones that are hoping to attract the same type of girls without putting in any effort at all. Heck a lot of times I am that guy and most of us probably are at some point, but the guy putting in effort isnt doing anything wrong.

wow. i just got bailed on. real bad.

we were supposed to go to a party concert thing together with a coupe of her friends, but she decided that she was too hung over and that she didn't want to drink again tonight, so she suggested just hanging out either at her place or mine and watching a movie or whatever. couple hours later she says that her sister wants her to go to a bar where some other (see: much worse) band is playing in which her friend is guitarist (sister just got home today for a week's vacation), and she doesn't want to go alone, but she "hopes I understand"... Obviously I got upset because I'm cranky and on 2 hrs sleep, just so I can look like the bad guy.

edit- thats a pretty poor batch of sentancery but i don't really know exactly what to change to make it right.

Really, it's not that big of a deal, and I'm just gonna start wearing a belt when I dress nice, just in case it actually does matter. It's easy enough, and adds a little suspense as she unbuckles it before commencing sexy time. But as was pointed out last night by 2 or 3 of the girls, you can't even see a belt anyway unless your shirt is tucked in...

WRT to the dressing up thing I'm with Henry 110%.

Towards the end of the summer I randomly wore a suit to a pretty casual bar in my home town when I went out with friends. While I got holla-ed at by like 4 cougars, I got an absurd number of compliments from random girls when I was walking by.

I'm actually doing it again tonight. Will post results.

Yeah that's pretty well what I said to her, though not very politely. I've been talking to her since and ran some damage control. I did that thing where I apologize despite being not at all at fault in order to let her realize 1) how wrong she was, and 2) to re-open the conversation so she's not all timid and nervous around me for the next 2 days.

I believe her when she says that she didn't really want to go, but it's her only sibling and she's been away for the last couple years, so they don't get to see each other very often. We made plans for tomorrow night once I'm done grinding (I'll likely have tilt-unregged everything by about 5pm anyway) so whatever.

FWIW I've gone from not knowing a girl to being official with her in 117 hours. I don't think two weeks is totally insane.

i'm a 2 dates it's going to be official kind of person. so making it to date 4 means we're casually seeing each other and that won't be changing in the future
