What's the general thought in here of what guys are looking for out of women, as I can't really pick it up. I know there is some variance, but are most guys here looking for hook-ups, one night stands and F-buddies, or relationships?

I think that would depend entirely on who you ask....really no general thought.....although i can say i try to avoid relationships, basically cause i dont trust girls but that was for another reason...

It does. But like other things that a person can suck at, if you just own it and laugh at yourself rather than getting rattled by it...you can spin a negative into a positive or at least a neutral. I will admit, however, that my competitive side ****ing hates losing.

By the way, while I do side with Karak about the tone of your posts, I give you huge credit for your ability to mostly let crap roll off of you when you get criticized. That's worth some respect to be sure.

You'd have to go back to the many stories I posted about chasing her in this thread. She's a lost cause. I mean, yes, stranger things have happened than a turnaround in a situation like this, but odds are so against me at this point that any chance of successfully hooking up should basically be ignored unless something surprising and overt happened to make me think otherwise.

This girl adores the hell out of me, but she's not into me at all. And I've taken every different approach you would want me to by now. While my messing with her as described in the TR wasn't a true attempt to get with her, obviously if it had turned her head and miraculously worked then I'd still go for it.

I don't think I milked it for too long, and I think my TR might have said that I did it "repeatedly"? After the initial "really?", I only did the follow-up thing twice, and both were fresh situations. More on that in a minute.

The goal was having fun and messing with her. Showing her that while I'm attracted to her, she doesn't rattle me (anymore); she used to, but she may easily not know that.

The first girl that I did that in front of already knew what was up, that I wanted more than a drink from her. Close friend of mine. I was going to drop it then, but saw too perfect of an opportunity later. Was talking to couch girl in a normal conversation, then saw the guy who's notorious for being the biggest manwhore in our class in the distance. I suddenly cut off my sentence and said, "Oh hey! I found the fairest judge possible." (Anyone would know that he would favor any interpretation that lets him creep on a girl...any girl, and was the least fair judge possible.) Then I asked that question again, "So if a girl tells you she owes you more than a drink..." Purely for reaction. To me, it was funny. She can think whatever of it, she obviously knows that I'm into her and just chooses to hang with me anyway. The manwhore? Well, I don't like or respect him, so he can think whatever, but he's the last one who's going to be judging me for hitting on whoever while drunk anyway. Those were the only two instances that I can recall, I know I mistakenly made it sound like more in my TR. There was no harm being done to my reputation, and considering that I was asking the question and then laughing hard when I trolled a reaction out of her, I don't think it came off as whiny. Chance that I didn't tell the story that well though, for sure.

Yeah, again I misled on how many times it happened. I actually think the second was funnier than the first because of the manwhore. You'd have to know this guy to fully understand just how absurd it was to act like his opinion would possibly be valid. That was why it was funny to me.And of course it was all clearly a joke anyway.

Anyway, with regard to the one I do think I can get with, today one of my female friends just came out and asked me, "So...you and <pong/racquetball girl>, when's that going to happen?" I laughed and said, "Umm...I don't know. I'll...keep you posted?" She said, "She is just all over you anytime I see you two out together. I expect you to report some progress on that front soon. I'm just saying." I just smiled and shook my head and said, "We'll see." I was trying to be vague, but my lack of denial obviously gives me away. Whatever. Anyway, I've had a couple of other friends say similar things, so it must be kind of obvious on the surface. Hopefully I can make some headway there soon.

One more response to the last part. While all of this was going on, I was texting with the beer pong girl trying to get her to come to the bar I was at, she was at one across the street. I was just amusing myself with couch girl and the rest of my friends until then. Once I finally got to the same bar as pong girl, couch girl got little attention from me. So, blowing her off to get to the other one wasn't a good choice right at that moment, pong girl and I were having a fun little debate over text message at this time, trying to get each other to go to the bar that we were already at. I could have just gone, but didn't want to look needy by heading over there on demand and I enjoyed the dynamic that I was playing over text more at that point (knowing full well I'd eventually be seeing her). Finally a bunch of my friends said they were headed over there, so I sent her a text saying, "You suck. You successfully waited me out. See you in a few," and headed over.
