I tried some more to get girls but i just failed and realized the only slight attraction I got was from younger girls or girls that looked younger so my options are limited. I was trying to cold approach since I'm not the type of guy that gets invited to party's, but it's so hard to me to just randomaly start talking to a girl and they just thought I was weird and creepy.

Now I play poker on bodog all day, I've won 25k since april on a 100 deposit and I got my 17k roll back from full tilt and I thought it would give me motivation to change but I just smoke weed all day.

I realize now money or material things can't change your inner state or who you are. I feel like travelling around europe for a few years as my life is very mundane to me in the states but don't know if it's a good idea and its kinda scary sounding but also exciting?

It sounds to me that perhaps you arent ready to go to college. I went straight from school, and while I was reasonably confident and popular, I had very little experience with girls before I went.

I always felt that going into college/uni a year or two later with some cool travelling/ extra life experience gives you a massive upper hand, and it showed with those who did being the cooler more popular guys at uni.

I was like you in the sense I was a late bloomer (not quite to the extent you suggest), so like me you should age well. I've done a bunch of travelling since uni and imo its pretty much the most awesome thing you can do. That being the case, if taking a year out is a realistic option it should be one that you entertain.

Also, obviously stop smoking weed - its pretty much the least cool thing you can do and will massively negatively effect how well you do with women in so many ways. Improve yourself by going to the gym (by far the best thing you can do ainec), and improve your wardrobe. This will give you so much more confidence you wont even believe it.

Don't sweat it about losing your virginity, your time will come and it really doesnt matter.

Money changes your inner state but you have to utilize it.
In my opinion is the possession of money useless you have to put it to use.

And you have to realize that you will not change in one summer. Also, sex is not something you learn by doing it once, so going to a prostitute once is useless.

Reading Henry's posts will definitely help you. But you need to understand that you cannot completely change your life in a few months, it's a process.

And yeah smoking weed is for losers - stop it immediately.

Custer,

Lofts are sick but I really wouldn't want that spiral staircase. My parents had one in their old house and after using it 2-3 times I never used it again (they had a second normal staircase I'd use). And garage is a huge plus. I never thought it was a big deal until I moved into my current place--doubt I'll ever go back to not having one now.

And weed is fine, WTF? Obviously don't be a pothead but the vast majority of people I know at least occasionally smoke. I probably smoke 1x per month on average, it varies a lot though.

Sure very occasionally is ok, but I think Spurious was referring to the fact he 'smokes weed all day', which is obviously not fine.

People who do something to extremes that make their life worse should just avoid that thing in the first place.

Also, spiral staircases are cool. Bit tricky when you're drunk, but that's mostly the getting down part which seems an unusual combination in that flat.

Custer,

I dont like the loft place you've posted. It does not look like you could utilize it. Do you have some more pics of the upstairs part.

Judging from the pics, it looks more like an advanced loft bed. But there might be more space upstairs than it looks like.

Meh I have a trickier spiral staircase than that one, if you live there for a month you can do it drunk and blindfolded. Don't worry about it

I'm assuming there's space behind the photographer for a lounge area. If not, then that's too small, and this is coming from a Londoner.

Have a look at both pictures, I think you can assess space quite well from them. More pictures would clarify but it seems to me like there is not that much space.

There is space for a lounge area downstairs, but not that much, also I think the lounge area should be upstairs so you can utilize the railing.
That's another issue I have with the place, you can't really use the "view" from upstairs, it actually looks too industrial in my opinion (I usually like the clean industrial look).

1) That first place Custer posted would be a dream place for me. But the second could be just as well if you changed the color scheme.

2) I agree with coinflip about traveling before school. I lost my virginity right before my 16th birthday but I still feel like a late bloomer. Everyone agrees that being tall, aesthetics, confidence in yourself and with women are clutch in business but it doesn't get brought up nearly as much with doing well in school. When you come back join a frat. Your travel stories will help a lot with your brothers and women.

3) I just got a text "I have a bone to pick you with you sir! " from the girl I smashed 2 or 3 weekends ago. The smiley face is giving me hope it's a sexual innuendo and not a pregnancy scare.

4) It's Day 5 for my goal of reaching 200lbs in August. I've been writing my meals down in a daily planner.

Yeah the worst thing for him would be to buy a hooker, I didnt lose my virginity until sophomore year in UNI and while there was of course pressure to lose it, college makes it so easy. Just put yourself out there at parties and get freshmen #s and things will happen. I went from Virgin to smashing 3 different girls in a month and I suck with women imo.

lol at that text, probably means she wants your bone to pick at her nomsayin

I have lived in a "soft loft" for ~5 years and love it and really like the idea of a loft but in the end it is just a novelty. The second apartment looks a lot bigger and seems like it will be more functional.

If you don't have furniture right now that furnished place seems pretty ideal. Moving is a huge pain in the ass. Moving and having to furnish a place is even worse. One of the main reasons I won't be moving any time soon is because of how terrible moving actually is.
05-21-2014 , 12:10 PM
Of the two places I'd probably suggest the loft. They are both nice but the second place seems more adult and I figure you'd want something more young person.

I've never lived in a loft but I stayed in a hotel room that was a loft for a little under a month. I found that I rarely used the bedroom -- upstairs area. Maybe I'm just lazy but I generally prefer to not have stairs. There was a desk upstairs but no fridge so constantly having to come down and up stairs to fetch beer while working was a hassle.

Regarding our possible troll

1) If you want to get a prostitute then get one -- it won't change how you act around women but you'll still get laid.

2) If I read that correctly and you make $300k/year and can't get laid then you're almost certainly just ****ing with us.
05-21-2014 , 12:22 PM
While it's certainly possible a 15 year-old had $17k on Full Tilt three years ago, it's highly unlikely and I suspect troll.

And he never said he makes $300k/year, just turned $100 into $25k. Totally different.

How do I put it to use, like every time I buy something nice or try a cosmetic change I'll feel like a try hard and end up feeling ****ty.

no troll here, I don't make 300k/year more like 30-40k which is nothing in poker. I just hit a few mtts here and there.

I also struggled after black friday financially and become really depressed not being able to play poker. I don't think I"m greatest player but I often would play regs that were better than me heads up. I didn't care if I was money, getting outplayed, it was just practice.

I've been playing cards since I was little kid started with 7 card stud, gin rummy, magic, learned hold em when i was 13. To some it's ridiculous sounding but cards are my passion in life.

I know alot of you guys are from Europe does living in Prague for a year sound reasonable. The city looks so old and cultered compared to anything in the states.

It's Cololumbus tho, so parking might not be a huge issue. Just have to check the spot beforehand. Bigger city, obviously a garage automatically regardless of the car. If you have a ****ty car and parking is ample, the garage is useless.

Parking isn't my only concern. You don't want to be scraping ice, snow, and frost off your windows every morning from October - March in your work clothes and jumping in a 15 degree car before your commute.

Nah, it's a simple as turning your defroster on and letting it run.
05-21-2014 , 02:14 PM
Cbus doesn't get loads of snow, but there are winters where you'll see 40-50 inches. That's something to consider wrt garage. Digging a snowy, street-parked car out of snow that's been plowed all over it sucks. Cleaning off a snowy car will do a number on your clothes. Shoes too if it's a particularly bad storm.
05-21-2014 , 02:17 PM
Gus,

That isn't true unless it's a very light snow.

Yeah, scraping ice blows too. I don't really mind snow/cold and I work from home so I declined a garage spot in my current building. No way I'd decline if I had to get up early to clean my car off to go to work AND mess up my work clothes though.

I'm attending Uni this year and am in the unique situation of burning out young. I lost my v at 14 and was super successful with girls while at school, but I've become a bit of a hermit and haven't really interacted with anyone outside college in the last 3 years. Also doesn't help that my course (and college) is pretty much exclusively male. How should I better prepare myself for Uni? It feels like I'm still a virgin.

Not sure if I'm going to struggle with getting laid as the situation hasn't presented itself for a few years. Obviously school was a completely different ball game.
