Me too, due to insufficient chin.

Re: city/country girls - the world is becoming increasingly urbanised and most people who don't live in a city should probably aim to move to one if they're looking for better quality girls. And life in general.

Sunscreen is the #1 thing to maintain young looking skin. Google "truck driver sunscreen" and you won't leave the house without it on your face again.

I don't like cities though. There are so many people, they are dirty and the air is disgusting. You can never be alone somewhere. It's hard to relax. But I'm pretty spoilt where I live at the moment. Coastal life ftw.

On another note. I'm pretty much in a relationship with a girl now. She's awesome. Attractive, funny, down to earth, studies law. She's a keeper.

lol. I spend like a minute or two putting product in and my hair looks very much like his. GJGE tho.

I feel like setting up groupdates is such a broad concept there is no real danger in creating a service that sets them up. However, contacting someone knowledgeable for advice about this is one of the steps that will be taken, as I obviously do not know enough about this.

I'm extremely rusty at law but does Mens Rea (intent) even become a factor here? IIRC for IP law it was purely based on the actual specificity of the original idea, as well as the similarities between the ideas, and whether or not the idea was protected by the law, as opposed to much focus on how the copycat acted.

Like if I say I'm going to copy McDonald's and make a burger joint that's fine, as burger joint is too broad an idea. Pretty sure they are only covered by copyright/trademark protection (brand name, images etc) as opposed to patent protection for the concept itself given the vagueness of the idea.

Could be wrong though.

Have meeting tonight with local developer, then using that to send some final drafts through to my uncle. Hopefully have a closer idea of how I can start by week's end

yeah mens rea is a criminal thing. i'm no IP expert at all, but intent isnt really an issue
09-16-2013 , 06:11 PM
mens rea is not an issue but you copying the if you are going to do something that is actionable admitting that you were going to do that thing could be relevant.

I don't see anything in the grouper system that is patentable. Stuff that would be patentable in situations like this typically be the altogether but which they match you with ideal people -- most likely random number generator but dating sites claim they have elaborate algorithms to find you q match. There is no way to patent an idea.

You probably want to avoid looking too much like their site because otherwise you might get into passing off territory but beyond that you are fine.

Yeah I was originally going to try and look as different as possible but looming at smeeters it's pretty Lol how obviously they ripped it off.

Alleviates some of my fears

I have no idea how well fleshed out the applications of Machine Learning are in the dating world but as someone that does research in the field it's not terribly difficult to see how they might go about doing that kind of thing.

Not sure what post you're responding to, but yeah, nothing wrong with beards. Lots of women prefer them - and lots prefer clean-shaven too, but the point is it's a preference/subjective thing and not an ironclad rule that one side is better than the other. If you look better with a beard then grow a beard.

Confirmed sexy OOT poster confirms:

Also, PM me profiles and I will help. If you have unattractive non-beard photos with the beard, always a good time to reconsider them.

I have no doubt that they could do it. I just doubt that any of these site bother to. I recently watched a British investigative journalism item on online dating where the sites are basically using fake accounts / shills to get people to buy / renew memberships. If they engage in behaviour like that there is no reason to believe they are actually being truthful about any of their other claims.

Beards are pretty in right now., a lot of girls dig it. If facial hair looked got on me I would 100% grow one.
09-16-2013 , 07:49 PM
definitely a solid autumn/winter choice imo

i'd grow one, if i could

I see a beard as always a big negative.

A little scruff it depends on the scene and image you're going for. Could be a positive in some cases but more often a negative than a positive.
09-16-2013 , 08:56 PM
why?
09-16-2013 , 09:00 PM
I've never know girls who liked beards. At best they are neutral but the majority are negative.
09-16-2013 , 09:11 PM
Country girls like beards, Henry does not know them.
09-16-2013 , 09:18 PM
beards are a preference thing. i know lots of chicks who like them, and lots who don't. that's not to say that it can make a mediocre-looking guy much more attractive, but it's a small help. i pretty much always have a beard ranging from a five-o-clock shadow to something like a week and a half. key is to keep the cheeks and neck bare...
09-16-2013 , 09:23 PM
girls loved my beard but more in a "let me run my fingers through it" than a "that is more attractive than shaven/scruff" way. hooked up with 0 lifetime when i had a full beard.
09-16-2013 , 09:26 PM
its really weird to me henry says he understands scruffs work in some scenes but then doesnt say the same thing for beards. He would probably say the scene where beards are +EV are not scenes you want to be in, but thats obv his personal opinion.

The thing about beards is that more girls find it a net negative then a net positive, BUT, there are also less guys that have beards(or at least ones that are good), so you are righting over a smaller pool. If the girls tht like beards are the type you are going for, then go for it.

I rock the stubble, probably shaving once a week(I dont grow a beard fast)
09-16-2013 , 09:49 PM
To be honest i don't think it matters as much as people think. A good looking guy will still get the same results with or without a beard unless the beard is like extremely bushy. Girls say a lot of things but it doesn't really make it a deal breaker.
09-16-2013 , 09:59 PM
It seems as if beards have been in and out for like hundreds of years. Clean shaven has been the look for like 60 years and they look like they are on the up and up.
