Valid reasons to watch the ball drop:
1. I don't know.
2. You're at a party where the masses (due to trained monkey status) force you to watch it and it would be socially weird of you to not just be a good sport about it.

From what I know he attends a private school and it's pretty difficult to get kicked out of there. They give you third chances, academic probation, etc. I'm guessing he's either on probation now and/or his parents don't want to pay the 25k/semester for private school anymore.

But seriously, go to community college if you want to continue with school. You are (were) majoring in engineering, so I know you aren't stupid. The mentality that you need to complete school ASAP with no breaks is absurd. Take some time off if you need to.
Only go to school if you're actually going to try. Otherwise it is a complete waste of time and money. Either attend a CC or state school and get a job or get two jobs and try and network yourself/have fun. I wouldn't give up on school just yet.

Oh god, not this again. Having an issue with this is extremely odd even for LKJ.

Haha. I wasn't the one who brought it up. Just dropping some truth off because I was specifically referenced. Back into the weeds I go.

Hows BB treating you? I would imagine at your pace you are least almost done s4 by now?

I'm all caught up. Watched all four seasons in a week of laziness. Great show.

The one thing I think is dumb about NYE is the ball dropping. I get that you have to acknowledge that the New Year actually hit, but some people take this part way too seriously like it a must see or NYE is ruined.

Then again, it might be that I just hate the coverage leading up to the event. Just like the Thanksgiving day parade. Like, who the **** cares?

The party I was at this year heard fireworks outside and someone said, "What's that?" Someone else nonchalantly said, "Oh, is it midnight?" We looked at the clock and it was 12:01. We shrugged and resumed the party. Doing it the right way IMO.
01-04-2012 , 06:46 PM
Sounds liek you were at a party with ******s if someone heres fireworks and is like Whats that?
01-04-2012 , 06:53 PM
It was faint enough (or loud enough in the party) that I didn't hear the fireworks. And if you're not anxiously awaiting midnight for no apparent reason then you're not really thinking about hearing an explosion of some kind anyway.

But yeah there was a fair number of ******s.

Nice TR brings back the memories. Cept I never danced much, preferring to make approachs away from the D Floor.

Anywho, GG 2011, lets go Giants
I dont think 23 girls and 2 guys is that great. Percentage of chicks is a bit high. 60% chicks is a better ratio. Percentage of decent looking single chicks there is more important.

Good TR Toph. exactly what the thread needed. Will write my TR sometime soon it had its moments.
