We hope so too! We'd love to see that event become very competitive. HORSE is a true challenge because of all the switching gears and games.

Thanks,

The max per flight will be 720 runners, I believe. We could go above that number with alternates though. The answer is effectively "No" with certain qualifiers and caveats.

Yes, as soon as we get the online sales up and running we will post a link on here.

If there are circumstances that arise which complicate your visit or play, just give us a call at (561) 683-2222 ext 241 and we'll see how we may assist you.

He was asking if they must be purchased online. I would hope not.

I am coming for the circuit and would appreciate some help so I don't end up spending a fortune.

Best motel or hotel choice thats cheap price (i would barely be there) but is not too far away.

Also I am there for 10 days so it would make sense to get a car? No plans of going anywhere except from motel/hotel to play poker. Or is there a better idea?

Is there a Chase bank close by?

Any other tips for first timer coming by himself?

Thank you appreciate it tons.

Can't answer the hotel/motel question as I live in south FL and thus have never stayed in any. However, the PBKC is right near the airport and there are several hotel options. The WSOP circuit website for this event lists many of them. Link here: http://www.wsop.com/pdfs/reports/132...OLOR-11-27.pdf

As far as I can tell, the nearest Chase Bank is 3.3 miles away. I definitely would not recommend walking that here (even in February). I have zero personal knowledge of the crime rates in the area nearing the casino, but my guess is that it wouldn't be the safest place to walk alone. Again, I don't live there and have no factual information to back that up, it is just based on my perception of the neighboring area.

Renting a car that you will hardly use seems silly though too. There is probably a way to take a bus down there, but that will probably take a long time. My preference would be for making a friend and bumming a ride. :-)

However, the south Florida weather is pretty unbeatable in February. So if you would have any interest in going to the beach or seeing some sights in Palm Beach or the surrounding area renting a car is a good choice.

holiday inn like 3 mins from there. might be a shuttle there. Think some of the hotels in that area offer so call n ask. Or get a car if you plan on doing some other stuff besides poker.

and make sure to stop by Bay Bay's chicken n waffles (pink building, Chrysler300 on 22s sittin outside) on Okoechobee, a must eat.

Some of it's the chicken. Part of it's the waffles. Mostly it's the combination of chicken and waffles... which I believe is Dutch iirc

In the $580 opening event, is it $500+ $80 for rake+dealers? Also will they be running the $20 cash addon at the table for extra chips scam? If I plan on flying in for day1b how likely am I to have trouble getting in, as in should I pre-reg online?

Excuse the tourney n00b question but if I register online for 1c, 1d, and 1e and make through on 1c or 1d what are my options for the un-used registrations?

They will refund you the money once you have already made it through an earlier flight in those circumstances

I've been at this stop last two years, in 2012 they had the scam on all events but last year as I understand the WSOPC standardized rake across all stops to elminate those sorts of shenanigans. In 2013 they did not have the scam so I would not expect them to have it this year either. Hopefully we can get better confirmation

Gentlemen,

The Palm Beach Kennel Club played no part in anything that could be called a scam or shenanigans. There were add-on's that were split among the staff of Poker Tournament Consultants group in years past. These add-on's were advertised on all communications for events and fully accounted for.

This year there will be no add-on's at the table for these events. The $580 buy-in breaks down to $500 to the prize pool, $55 rake, and $25 service fee to the WSOPC.

We thank you for your interest and look forward to another opportunity to impress the world with the quality product we provide at PBKC. And, of course, if you have any concerns we would be more than happy to address them on twoplustwo or in person.

Thanks,
TTJ - (561) 683-2222 ext 241

Might be nitty on my part but I'm registering for 1c,1d, and 1e online just to make sure I get in all three and having to pay the $16 convenience fee 3 times sucks.
