It's a much higher vig if you buy your seat for all 4 starting days and make it though early. If you make it through the 1st time, you are paying $164 of vig, or 32% and they still get to sell the tickets back to the general public. They are making a killing!

To those people saying that people should stop whining and complaining...This whole situation is wrong! My observations point to this being a huge money making grab, and in my opinion unethical. We are basically being held hostage to purchasing tickets online. If I go down there, it not like I am going to buy one ticket for a $16 convenience fee. That really doesn't sound unreasonable, but when you are being forced to buy 2, 3, or 4 tickets, knowing that you will be forfitting the $16 convenience fee for each ticket if you make it through, it adds up.

Any legit online sales service, such as Ticketmaster, Stubhub ,etc would allow us to purchase multiple flights (1-4 tickets total) for a one time convenience fee and/or shipping and handling...In this case, $16. The fact that it will only allow us to pay for one day at a time for each separate transaction is a huge issue for me. Imagine if you were charged separate convenience fees and/shipping and handing for each item if you ordered from those websites, it would be the same thing. They should be entitiled to their one time $16 fee, but no more.

Last years the staff assured us, the players that capacity issues would be solved by either adding an additional flight, or more tables...but it is becoming increasingly more obviously that they have a good thing by funneling a many ticket purchases online as possible. The staff hasn't even addressed how they plan on dealing with the people that are planning on waiting outside for hours on end. And why would they? They want as much fear and doubt in the players minds so that they once again, are forced to purchase their tickets online.

I would completely change my mind on this, if they would allow us to buy all our tickets online with one transaction and at one convenience fee per transaction.

End of Rant.

Guess I should have just held onto all my promotional tickets and charged $575/each with no fee otherwise. I'll know better next year

I saw the structure sheet I just don't have an understanding of it is a crap shoot or is deep, etc.

The Million has a Patience Factor of 29.44 or a average of 5.43 hours before going broke, if not playing a hand. This is pretty good, especially when looking at the prize pool. The main event is deeper. The WPT Regional Main Event standard structure 40 minute levels/60 final table i believe is 6.5 hours. I hope this helps.

He was asking about the HORSE tourney.

TTJ, thanks for the response. I'll pm you my info later on. Basically, I just don't want any hassle when I show up due to me not having the printable form form for day 1d.

I played it last year and made it really farrrrrrr last year was 40 min levels the whole way this year its 30 then 40 then 60 i like 40 mins the whole way better but this still is decent and this year they elimated the 50 100 level were playing 75 150 from the start for 2 levels in a row i think i might like this better cause if you win a nice pot early it will mean something

Fear,

Forced is a strong word. I am not sure it applies to our situation.

Ticketmaster does not allow anyone to buy tickets to 2 different events on 2 different days without the "convenience fee" or "service charge". Each and every ticket has a service fee.

We added a full flight so we can accommodate 750, plus alternates, for each flight. This will give us seating to trump last years turnout considerably.

If you come down early, you can purchase a ticket in person without the "convenience fee". They are readily available.

The best way to avoid being shut out is to purchase tickets ASAP.

We look forward to seeing you for this amazing event!

Take care,

Meaning this wednesday Feb. 6th? Yes.

Meaning next wednesday Feb. 13th? Most likely.

The 13th. I'm flying in from Connecticut. I'm only playing one flight and don't care which day

At the end of the day, the main event is what people are more likely to fly in for. I know you want a huge and successful event, so why aren't you trying to boast the main event at all? Some type of promotion to either give those seats away or at least give away some tokens for satellites that must play for the main event, anything to build that number up from last years 450ish (750 in 2011?)

Also $200 every 20 minutes is a great promotion, but if it were the same thing as a $200 satellite token you could be generating a lot more rake and actual players in the tournament as well. Run a $200+$10 single table that awards a $1675 seat and $325 cash to 2nd place and $200+$10 mtts that award $1675 seats and leftover cash is additional $200 lamers

Question for Noah or staff:

I've already purchased my ticket for 1B, however I do not have a players card. I'm arriving into town Wednesday night. Will I be able to A) come to the casino Wednesday night and get a players card, and B) also get my reserved seat Wednesday night in probably a shorter line than Thursday morning? Where does one even go if they have prereged? Main cashier, separate line?

If yes to the above, what time will these options be open until, are they 24 hours, or close at 11pm, midnight?

If I am stuck getting these items on Thursday morning. Can you give guidance on where I need to go? I don't want to get guided like cattle into the main 4 hr line by security officers who are unaware that you can prereg.

This. (although I think they need to use their promotion funds to fill up the Feb 9 guarantee) but the more single table satellites the better.

I will be playing HORSE, Feb 9, and hope to get entries for both championship flights, with Ladies event as probable backup.

You will be able to come in Weds night and pick up your tournament player card and tournament ticket. See the main cashier in the downstairs poker room. During the WSOPc the poker room will be closing at 5am on weekdays and weekends remain 24hrs.

Thanks,
TTJ
