The worst thing about the Rio is that they have caught the Strip disease of overpricing anything remotely edible. A fast food-ish meal from the food court will likely cost you $20+.

See you there and gl gl.
You forgot to add on time at the beginning for the ultra-long boring speech from OK Johnny!

How much time is alloted for the pledge of allegiance?

It's very pricey but I'd just order from All American Dave and have it delivered to table

Is there still a service where you can pay in advance for catered dinners?

Levels are 60 min not 6..

I shouldn't make posts when I'm tired.

Does anyone know if there are meal plans that make sense for only a short trip (like 7 days)? I have often thought about this but always assumed it only works for the real seasonnaires ....

I'm not sure what min package is but it might not that much, maybe $200 or $300? With those prices, you can easily hit that in 7 days.

Smallest is $300 which I think is 15 meals with the meal plan discount. Hitting 15 meals in 7 days can be sticky if you're playing any events elsewhere etc.

Send a meal to one of the handful of pretty girls in the room

Or send me one

Or I vaguely remember so win saying it can carry over to following year

That would be a great excuse to make the trip again next year ... never mind the 5-figure bill for flights/hotels/buy-ins ... gotta reclaim the $100 unsused credit at AAD

I haven't used the app this year, but certainly in the old days of the pokernews app it was effectively a pure honour system.

Presumably in theory they could have linked the App to the actual tournament system to make sure you are in the event, but my guess is it's not worth the IT effort to do that.

ps - I haven't noticed many Chip-In reported stacks ... but then again I haven't been trying to follow any particular friends yet.

Does anyone know on which day the Main Event typically reaches the money?

Thanks,

I would expect it to happen on the last level of day 3.

Fairly early on Day 3 last year...this year w/ increased chip stack, agree with above commenter, probably a little later on Day 3.

Staying at the Rio. What magical words do I need to say to the cabbie to go the cheapest way? What is faster? Highway or backroads? If he takes me on the strip near MGM Grand that's bad? Thanks

If you're talking about from the airport, the highway may not be so bad since the Rio is on the far side of the freeway anyway. Make sure he knows you want to check in to your room or he may drop you on the WSOP side.

Hi guys,

Going to Vegas for the WSOP next week and am staying at the Vdara for the first time. Have never stayed in the aria/cosmo/vdara complex before and was just looking for recommendations for a restaurants with healthy breakfasts, i.e. not the usual Vegas steak, eggs and masses of cheese with everything! All input appreciated.

Thanks

George
