Most of the WPT room rates are sold out, you can get $80/night at a few places.

They had 144 for the super satty today, I got 23rd, no dice.
Play was very soft, one guy had 100k(which was about 10% of chips in play) with 30 left and 15 getting paid, started playing several marginal hands for big chips, he was down to 35k when I left.
People have no clue what M is or how to play short stacks, people would have M of 3 or 4 and make min raises or even standard size raises. Others were making it 5x.

There are several nice hotels 1 mile away on US 301. In the $50-$100 range.
Just use google maps and put 33610.

Sorry to hear about the miss. Seems like it was soft by the way you describe.... I have a runner going tomorrow that I'm backing, hopefully he can capitalize. You playing he 750? I may be out there Saturday, not for the tourney, but to check the action.

If someone could provide an update on the number of registrants for the $770, I would appreciate it. I have a buddy who may come down with me, but if its close to being sold out, then he won't go.
Thanks in advance! (Btw, I don't think it will sell out at all, but heard projections that it may...)

i assume 100% of the money going towards the prizepool is getting paid out to players (i.e. no 3% taken out for dealers/staff) given the $20 addons? couldn't find anything about taking anything from the prizepool in the fine print but i'd like to be sure.

as several others have brought up, why are the two biggest tourneys missing the 100/200-25 level when it's present in other tourneys like the 220 turbo and the 460 6max?
We have been in discussion with them about the structure and I think they have been responsive. Seminole has the final say on all preliminary structures and even the main, the WPT can only make suggestions.

Thanks Matt. Are you saying that based on the discussions you have had with them that some of the structures are likely to change, or that the discussions you have had with them led to the structures that have been published (and no further changes are expected)?

I checked today and only 28 early entries for the $750, 10 will satty in tonight. I would say Friday will be a heavy sales day as people show up for event #1 and don't want to stand in line at 10:30am for event #2.

I spoke with head TD today and he was telling me reasons why the $2250 main event was 40 min. blinds.

So maybe he doesn't know about the changes that are coming to the structures yet?

It is.... But it's apart of the buyin. Pick up one of the tourney booklets and it says 2000 for buyin, 200 entry fee and 50 for staff... 2250.

What is considered an 'appropriate' tip, given the size of the dealer add ons? Let's say you are in the $750 buy in tourney and final table for a total cash of $3k, how much (if anything) should you tip? What if you take first place for $35k?

I know tipping is a personal decision, so I can imagine the answers will be a range, but I'm curious what the general thoughts are. Thanks.

In general, any tournament where there is either a dealer addon and/or any portion withheld for the dealers, I do not tip anything. They get theirs out of those holdings. The state of Florida does not allow for any portion of the prize pool to be withheld for dealers which is why the Dealer Add-on is so prevalent. If nothing is withheld and there isn't a dealer add-on, I will tip 1-2%, maybe 3% if I felt the dealers were especially good that day. I also make a habit of getting some $5 chips and tipping dealers individually during the tournaments if they perform for me, at least in large buy in events ($2k+).

With those addons tip 0. You've already tipped s good percentage upfront.
