correct. 30 is the juice, 20.00 is "dealer appreciation toke"

Yep and for every 10 people ($225X10=$2,250) you get entry into the Main Event.
So for every 100 players 10 will get in not a bad deal but $50 in rake does stink...

Not sure if Satty is worth it then with $50 rake and 1-10 chance of winning with that starting stack and structure?

Anyone elses thoughts on it?

The rake is $30. You do not have to do the $20 dealer add on if you do not wish.
So that is not part of the rake.

The addon is something like 30% starting stack? If it's anywhere near that then you have to take it. The rake is effectively $50 for a turbo $225 satellite. I don't even know how beatable that is.

I understand you don't have to take the dealer add-on but why would'nt you for 30% of entire starting stack.

Anyone have a feel for whether the $75k Guaranteed Deepstack event (Event #2) will sell out (350 max players) ahead of time? You can only register in person, so I won't be able to register until the night before. Think I'll be able to get in?

I think they were saying that they are only selling a certain % early and will hold the rest until closer to the tournament.
You could call them and try to find out for sure. 813-621-1302 and ask for poker room.

I just called and they said that they are not holding any tickets aside, and they do expect it will sell out. They said the best they can suggest is to call back before I head over.

Does anyone here have any additional insight? How much in advance to people tend to sign up for events like this? What are my chances of getting a seat if I show up the night before the event to buy in?

For event #2 being $750, I would guess that the day before the tournament there will be tickets left.

I would agree with this as their Friday night "big tourney" of $500 last week and $400 this week only got 40 entrants each....

When tournaments are completely ******ed and dont EVER have antes in them, people tend to not come and play them. I don't want to come play a tournament on a Friday night that lasts until early morning cause everyone can fold fold fold.

Ok basically s $2200 crapshoot 2 day event with 40 min levels. Why they cut it to 40 is beyond me. This is a $2250 buyin.

Totally agree they should be longer IMO.

While the structure of the main is certainly lacking a bit with some skipped levels and short times, what bugs me is the move to play 19 forty minute levels in one day with 15 minute breaks every 3 levels and a 1 hour dinner break...That is 12 hours and 40 minutes of play time and 2.5 hbours of breaks, dinner, and race offs.

Assuming everything starts on time and bagging chips doesn't take very long, Day1b will depart the room after 2:00am and be expected to return less than 9 hours later for day 2 on Sunday at 11:00am. That is a little extreme...19 levels? I think we would have been good at 12-15 levels...

You could just play 1A then you get a day off. But if you get stuck playing 1B then that would suck.

I've never seen an event for that size buyin with less than hour levels.

The players there should demand proper value for such a large buyin.

Cost per orbit of level 4 is 2.25x that of level 3 (2.33x if 10-handed);
Day 1 duration: 14:40 + delays; no on-site hotel.

Im not sure what you mean by venue holds 11.1% but there are 50 tables and 35 of them will be used for tournaments at 11am each day.

Yes, there is a hotel in the casino. And several nice hotels that are cheaper options less a mile away.

Also there will likely be 75 or more people that are satellite winners to the main event. Main event should have 500-700 runners in my estimation.
