Pretty sure he's not going to recommend if you should or shouldn't play at Montesino, but he's going to try to make sure that the festival is distinct and separate from anything that happens there.

I'd like to see a schedule of any tournies that Montesino will now be running on their own. Considering taking a hit on my apartment in Vienna and booking something in Baden instead but I after I heard a description of 9pm on a Friday night.

"There were no bars, but I did see an old man walking his dog"

I'm not so sure that's a good idea.

As far as I can see the last train back from Baden to Vienna is at just after midnight.

After that you can get the tram which takes an hour?

From casino Baden website

"Dress code
We kindly request our guests dress in a manner appropriate for a casino visit and refrain from wearing casual attire (training suits, trainers). Gentlemen require a jacket.

Should you decide to visit a casino on the spur of the moment and you are casually dressed, you have the option of visiting the Jackpot Casino or borrowing a jacket from the cloakroom in return for a deposit. "

I assume this will be waived?

Trust me, it was the first question I asked. They are relaxing this in the poker room.

Sigh just booked a flight to Vienna and a hotel right next to where the venue was supposed to be, obviously both will have huge cancellation fees, and the way this is being handled is not making me feel any better about it.

There needs to be A LOT more information about what will be done for the players here so people arent going to be stranded in Baden and stuck with the option of taking an expensive cab or waiting around for ages for a train.

What time are the days scheduled to end?
How many shuttles will be running a day?
How often will the shuttles be running?
How many players are the shuttles able to take, and is there a guarantee that every player who play the WPT will be picked up?
Will the shuttle only be dropping off at "official hotel" (using that word lightly given it now has zero affiliation with anything), or will it be ensured that people will be dropped off reasonably close to their hotel?

Also how is their not bus and train routes on the website, the fact that you have to get on 2+2 to find advice on that seems pretty ridiculous, this is going to be a HUGE inconvenience for everyone attending and that we have to commute for several hours a day.

Buses will be picking up and dropping of at both the Imperial Riding School and the Montesino at various times up until 3am. It is also likely there will be a shuttle running all day.

These are currently being organised, with times, in conjunction with ourselves, WPT, GSOP and the Montesino. They will be available on the festival website when finished and booked.

I will make sure a link is posted here too.

Please bear with us, as there are many stakeholders involved, all of whom have the players best interests at heart for getting them to and from the venue.

Yes there will be. Casino Baden will be running cash games from 1pm every day of the festival based on demand. 5% rake €15 cap

You better have a shuttle running between Vienna and Baden the whole day or lot of people end up spending 200e a day for a taxi or just book new hotels from Baden itself which will cost atleast 1ke more.

Have to give two thumbs up to Party for not even informing it's players about this. Tried to contact Palladium support for some information and they didn't even know that the venue had changed.

Sergei, I think this has been covered in previous posts. The GSOP transport schedule is available and the WPT will be available soon.

If time is an issue, then there are trains from Rennweg (230 metres from the hotel if you are a qualifier) which take around 20 mins to Baden and cost around 6EUR

It appears that the 10k highroller has been removed from the schedule? It is no longer listed at these links:

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/fest...hp?a=r&n=11230

http://www.worldpokertour.com/Shared...WPT_Baden.aspx

I hope this isn't the case because I would not have decided to attend without that event on the schedule.

From the WPT website
"5% of the prizepool is withheld as per Austrian Casino Regulation"
http://www.worldpokertour.com/Shared...WPT_Baden.aspx

Is this the case and if so is this in addition to the rake? What is this for? And why is this not mentioned anywhere on the Austrianpokerfestival.com website?

Also the tournament was originally listed as €3500. It is now listed as €3300. What is correct?

If the buy in has been reduced one would anticipate that the organisers would send everyone who pre-regged their 200 euros back without them having to chase it up and that package winners will also be credited with this.

A fast response from Twitter

"I have €200 for you when you get here. The buy in is now €3300 from which 5% juice is taken. There are no extras for dealers etc"

Party was sneaky enough that 200 of the 6,5k package goes to hospitality, as in transport between venues... always cool to track these things down.

Also no high roller because there is no big game.

Anyone who registered through WPT registrations or the Austrian Poker Festival site that paid the 3500 EUR entry will all have a 200 EUR refund issued to them by us (not the casino) on their starting day,

Just to clarify some questions that I have been asked about WTP.

The buy in is 3300 EUR, of which 5% is deducted in tournament fees.

Just a quick update!! After some discussion with Casino Baden today, and feedback from players, they have agreed to put the High Roller back on the schedule.

It will be at 16:00 on 22nd February, still a 10k buy in with 1 re-entry during the first 6 levels. 50k starting stack and 60 minute levels.

The WPT transport schedule will be published tomorrow.
