In conjunction with the Vienna Mind Sports Festival, like in Prague there's a series of poker tournaments combining in the Austrian capital.

Starting with a GSOP event, there's also a WPT stop, a 10k high roller along with plenty of smaller buy-in events.

Wired some money through for this with Livin It Lovin It and it was all very easy with no problems. Think it is great that there are more series like this happening in different places in Europe, not just for EPTs.

FYI as part of the Mind Sports festival that is running at the same time as the Poker Festival, there is going to be a couple of low buy in Open Face Chinese tournaments which should be interesting plus a couple of Magic: The Gathering events, which I know a lot of the community play.

about the planetwin 365 main event (440euro), the pdf file in op says its on 23.2 and website (austrianpokerfestival.com) says 17.2. which one is it?

It's on the 17th, the pdf was wrong and has been fixed now

What are the cash games like during this festival based on last year? Is it true that 7 card stud is quite popular in Vienna or has it died down? Any mixed games? PLO run a lot?

2x100+10, 1x200+20 on 14,15,16 febr at 14:00 CET all

These arnt in the PDF or has the schedule changed ?

The dates for Chinese are available on the Mind Sports link on the homepage of http://www.austrianpokerfestival.com/ scroll down an you will find http://www.viennamindsportsfestival.com

Cash games in Vienna are always juicy. Both 7 stud and PLO were running last year, but no other games that I can rememeber.

Haven't forgotten about this, just no updates on the sides.

With regards to GSOP Live as a whole, they have close to 200 qualifiers and so our hotel allocation during GSOP has sold out, so we only have hotel rooms left from the 17th onwards for WPT.

If we can secure more rooms during GSOP (at a sensible price) I will let everyone know.

Did you check the website?

Yes with 1.5% juice I believe
I think Mindsports are at the hotel, poker at Montesino
Dress code is pretty standard, it's not really a posh place.

Last time I was at Montesino there was this huge table tennis centre in the building where the cardroom is that was always empty, so if anyone wants a game - I'm kind of ok but haven't really played for years.

Yeah I checked the website. I saw that you can buy in in advance, but would like to buy in with cc/debit in person. I thought that I read a few years back that Austrian casinos had strict dress codes.

Montesino is basically a card room in a suburban shopping centre, there's not much glamour. But it was really well run in my experience and one my my favourite I've been to.

I couldn't find the info anywhere and I havent played many WPTs before, is the Main event one re-entry or unlimited, or can you only play once each day or how exactly does it work? Same goes for the High Roller
