Cosign with goggles, only issues were poor dealers (!) and that 45 minute valet. Granted it was raining heaps that evening.

Pretty much everything else was superb, and then you add dim sum and it's just wheeeee

Hi Matt,

How do the point standings work? I managed to make two final tables in the smaller events and have 144 points. Do just the top 10 point leaders get something or what?

I tried looking at the commercecasino.com and lapokerclassic.com, but could not find out how it works.

Thanks

Did Baker actually think Toth is gonna fold after the 3 bet in that spot? Just really weird to 4 bet shove with AJ. What is he going to be ahead of?

I hate Baker's play right there.

Seemed like Toth was gonna get all his chips in regardless.

Sometimes people will reraise (3 bet) with less than a premium hand. As a counter to this strategy some people will reraise (4 bet) with less than a premium hand. In this particular instance Bakes was putting Toth to a decision for his tournament life and he bravely made the call with what Doyle Brunson refers to as a medium pair.

def seems awful, in my experience when people reraise they usually have QQ+ and AK, and he was reraising a raise and a CALL, so he probably only has KK or AA there

although Richard is definately capable of being light there that shove is just **** awful. bakes can never rep a big hand there as he would always 3bet Heimiller with a value hand since Dan is never folding to a 3 bet...only 80BBs, wp

bakes wouldn't be one of the best players in the world if he could'nt rep a big hand there. i mean **** repping a hand he just has the best hand a ton

Just heard Bakes' explanation with Kim Lansing for the 4 bet shove. Said Toth just lost a pot to Heimiller, and thought from what people had told him, that Toth could have a pretty wide 3 betting range in that spot, as well as all 3 being in late position.

However, Bakes did say he thought Toth was going to fold.

i understand that Bakes is a friend of yours but that is just ridicolous to defend such a ****** play. shoving 80 bigs over a 9bb squeeze having 25% equity when called..well balanced line, world class play

how does matt savage pull this off? hope they can convince all the people at the clipper game to come play 5-10 at the commerce.

The Six Final Tablists Will Go To a Clippers Game

Level 25: 15,000-30,000, 5,000 ante

TD Matt Savage just announced that the Commerce Casino has made arrangements for the six final tablists (for the televised WPT Final Table) will be going to a L.A. Clippers game tomorrow night. (This final table won't be played until Thursday, so the crew can tape the final table for the WPT Celebrity Invitational on Wednesday night.)

As a bonus, the player who has the chip lead will have an opportunity to make one of those halftime basketball shots for an undetermined prize.

Matthew Berkey says, "Oh Vivek, I had no motivation whatsoever to be chipleader until just now." Then Berkey thinks a bit and adds, "Actually, it would be better if you do it."

"Since this hand was simultaneous with the double-elimination at the other table, all three players receive a tie for 10th place."

it isn't done by chip count?
