1) you forgot the punctuation. ?. The question was not rhetorical.
2) There was discussion about anomalous vote counts in the 3 re-count swing states.
3) Headlines are that both the RNC and DNC were hacked. Need proof on both accounts.

I don't think it's case closed at all. Investigation is warranted. And it must be made public.

It wouldn't turn those states to red from blue but it would have influenced the popular vote totals. When living in a strongly skewed state many on the side where they know their vote doesn't matter just don't vote. If it were a popular vote system those folks would take more interest.
While this is true it is a good bet Democrats would benefit more than Republicans on a net basis, wouldn't you agree?

No way to tell. You would have to redo the entire election cycle with a completely different strategy. Nobody really had a clue what was going to happen with the current rules so there is no way to predict an outcome using vastly different rules and what strategies would come out of it. Maybe it would finally make sense for Hillary to totally ignore Wisconsin and not even go there once.

Not no way to tell, the national polls were not that far off the mark with the popular vote. It's pretty clear Hillary would've won.

I see how Trump might have changed his strategy and be a more likeable figure to win the popular vote. But I'm not sure he did his stuff with a plan in mind.

But that doesn't matter. It is the result of a different game with different rules. If the game were to get the most votes instead of most electoral votes then the entire game is played differently. Since that game wasn't played the results for it are impossible to predict.

Not impossible, but I get your point, specially since the predictions were wrong under the electoral college rules.

dom, you demean yourself when you call the winning party, half the country, "putins party." i agree putin favored reps, the same way obama helped anti-netanyahu forces in israel's election, but its slanderous and dishonest to make the jump to calling it "putins party". if you had listened to Romney 4 years ago when he said Russia was "our number one geopolitical foe" maybe you wouldnt be so surprised now that Russia isnt our friend. btw, Romeny was the republican nominee right?

Tomatoe, you voted for a con man. And you're the mark. Whether or you realize that, and when, is up to you.

And now he nominates Rick ****ing Perry to head the Dept. of Energy. Fantastic. The guy who not only said he wanted to do away with this department, but who forgot all about when asked which departments he wanted to abolish. "Oops," indeed.

Whatever happens, this is going to be interesting. Potentially disastrous, but interesting.

It doesn't matter whether you you claim to have voted for a con man or not. You post in support of one here.

This might cheer you up, Dom. Kanye West went to visit Trump at Trump Tower. Probably went to offer a little advice on life and foregn policy or something.

posting to say that republicans are not putin agents, and supporting trump, are not synonymous. notwithstanding the fact that mainstream media has successfully morphed these two ideas into one in your mind.

Supporting Trump means you are okay with racism, mysoginism and human rights attacks from Russia as collateral for lower taxes and whatever other things you think Trump improves.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the protocol for the US to use a nuclear weapon in anger? If the President alone wants it to happen, does it happen?

The President doesn't have direct control of the nukes, there is no "red button". He has to issue orders to the generals/admirals, who can refuse if they feel there is no cause and/or he is acting cuckoo. So there will be no nuking of Meryl Streep's house should the mood strike him.

Look at the "Protocol" section under the Wiki item "Gold Codes". It pretty much gets correct what happens. If POTUS is not incompetent, his orders will be followed.

I was witness to us (the U.S.) going on extremely high nuclear alert (as in very high ranking military officials thought it was more likely to happen than not) during the 1973 Yom Kippur war. Subsequently, the DOD did a study to determine if orders would have been obeyed and the conclusion was that they would have been obeyed and that the Air Force would have had the highest compliance rate. (I was in the Army.)

I think it happens as long as the Secretary of Defense signs off on it.
