I just finished marathoning this. Outstanding. Easily as good as the first season if not better. Can't wait to see the third season.

Knocked out the first season of Hannibal too. Whoa.

I haven't been this hyped about a show since The Wire and that's a pretty long time ago.

Where do people think it's going? I have a theory but it's a bit nuts.

I thought episode 5 of True Detective was as good as an hour of television as I have seen. I was a little worried because I felt that besides the awesome track shot at the end of the 4th episode it fell off from the previous 3. I've never been this excited to see a show from week to week.

Wowie Zowie! I just finished power watching all seven seasons of The Shield. I had never previously seen any episodes and all I knew was it was Chicklis playing a corrupt cop. I knew I would watch it some day and stayed entirely spoiler free.

Now I am sad it's over but that was one helluva enjoyable watching experience! It would have sucked waiting to watch that week by week I couldn't wait to watch he next one. Great great show and probably in my top 5 of all time.

Awesome. Just blasted through this myself in about two weeks. Not sure how I missed it but after seeing recommendations on 2p2 I took advantage of amazon instant. Great series, so glad I watched. Penultimate episode was amazing....

I missed it when originally broadcast because it was in he dark ages before I had a DvR. But I'm glad that I did because it allowed me to marathon. Now any quality continuing story show I will try to wait and watch all at once leaving week by week to typical network crap.

I missed it when it originally aired too, and I eventually marathon watched the series. I originally missed it because I had ruled out "cop" shows as being something worth watching. The Shield really took that genre to a entirely different level and it's imo the Best All-time "cop" show. Still to this day Southland is the only other "police/cop" show I can think of that's been worth watching. (I don't consider Justified a "cop" show or it would make the must watch list.)

The Wire was the best cop show imho but The Shield comes in second. The Shield is more cop-centric than The Wire though since The Wire delved more into gangs, politics, society etc. But it still mainly revolved around cops.

Season 1 of the great French TV show, The Returned, is now on Netflix!

You should all go watch this immediately. It's incredible.

New episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix? lol, I totally thought S5E8 was the end. Thought it was a great ending, actually.

In other news, I've been watching the original Cosmos, in anticipation of the new Cosmos that's coming out soon (the original is viewable on youtube). Much of it feels dated, but it's still good nerdy fun to watch; Carl Sagan's passion for space exploration is just irrepressible.

Speaking of Game of Thrones - I finally got to watch season 3 when I got myself the box set.

Weird last scene with D being carried by the "black" slaves. I mean isnt that I tired and possibly rascist image - oh white Queen coming to save all the black slave folks.

Anyway that was a weird scene...

I think the best scene was not the red wedding but actually the Jamie scene in the bath where he describes and justifies his regicide. I think that scene had perfect pitch.

Anyone else think the red wedding was overrated? I just don't get why everyone thinks it was ZOMG MOST SHOCKING SCENE IN TV HISTORY!!!

I never really cared about those characters so maybe that had something to do with it.

I think the whole Game of Thrones fervor is overrated. Season One was one of the best seasons of any show ever but since then I find it to be a mediocre TV experience. Season one sucked me into reading the books and even having read the books I still get confused at times since the story is so vast with a gazillion characters. I just don't think it translates well to the screen at all. Season One did because the story was smaller and simpler before all of the bloat took over. The story just keeps expanding and getting messier and messier.

I just finished the last episode of season 1 of Sleepy Hollow.

Crazy, but fun. Nice to sit down with my 14 year old son and watch something we both enjoy.
