I can't remember some details of Seven. Which of the 7 sins had not been 'punished' with a murder before the end?

oh, you haven't seen them...yes, the thumbnails are annoying, but I don't even see them anymore. The two young guys are actually pretty knowledgeable for their age...they're English. And they love trying difficult films.

Wrath (Brad Pitt) and envy (Kevin Spacey).

I'm trying to watch Richard III 1955 and it seems absurd, that this paragon of twisted evil is being played as a mincing clown by Laurence Olivier, apparently a highly regarded actor. Seriously, what the **** is going on here. And while I'm at it, I didn't like his effete Hamlet 1948 either, so there.

I liked the 1995 version starring Ian McKellan.

We'll have to see what kind of Human drama we get when the finished product arrives.

HOPEFULLY, we are left to our own devices to make a determination... as opposed to the more modern studio technique of being told what the 'correct' determinations are.

'What kind of American are you' might be the point of the entire film.

Totally agree. I liked what transpired through the trailer thus far.

one thing that I noticed in the trailer...

the trailer seems to point to 'reporting' as a main protagonist and the main driver for the story.

from a modern stand point, certainly news in critical... however the presence of news itself does not necessarily mean truth.

Heisenberg had it correct... the simple observation of something, ultimately changes that thing.

Looks great, thanks for posting. Reminds me a lot of the comic DMZ.

watched Cromwell from 1970 recently because it was free on youtube

watched it in 7th grade after we studied him in social studies

love history, love historical dramas, thought i'd better appreciate this now as an adult

still utter crap, googled it and apparently, it bombed back then as well and also rife with historical innaccuracies

As a movie love, Civil War looks fascinating...as an American, I can't think of a movie potentially more irresponsible right now. But I guess we shall see.

I mean, it’s pretty clearly a cautionary tale.

Yes, but for whom?

We live in a country where half of us say, "WTF?" and the other half say, "****, yeah."

My two favorite Christmas movies are My Night at Maud's and Bad Santa. I don't know what to make of that.

This seems like some terminally online hyperbole. I’m pretty sure only a small percentage of the population actually wants a civil war, but perhaps I’m more of an optimist that I think I am.

I doubt anybody (maybe the lunatic fringe) wants a civil war, but we are so divided that a good portion of the country's citizens say they will vote for a con man.

I'm an optimist, too, but that optimism is being sorely challenged.

And the other half will vote for a corrupt, senile puppet. We have no real good choices. I think 99% of social media vitriol isn't so much to support their own real views but to troll and try to piss off the "other" side. As I see it there are major flaws on both of these "sides". Congress/Senate is even worse. Almost everything is straight party line. Can't these people think for themselves anymore? The whole system has been corrupted. When something is bipartisan it is very rare and usually only indicates a handful of defectors from the overlords.

I watched Bad Santa 2 last night, and although I love Bad Santa, stay away from the sequel.

the only bigger quality difference between a comedy and its movie is Get Short and Be Cool.

Are we looking for moral guidance from the folks who gave us Harvey Weinstien?
