El Camino last night.
I enjoyed it, but it doesn't seem as if anything's sticking with me. I wouldn't say this is a "must see". If you're a fan, it's worth seeing. If not, leave or take it.
Visually great, the story was only ok I thought.
I do have a question; not reallly a spoiler, but I will be cautious:
Saw it at our relatively new Alamo Drafthouse. I didn't really get some things about the place.
In the halls they have reproductions of old-time movie posters, but seemingly B flicks I've never heard of (though mostly they listed famous actors), and about half of them were in French.
Before the trailers, they were showing these weird 70s-80s "drugs are bad" PSAs.* I'm not sure if it was an ironic hipster thing (they were comically bad by today's standards) or what.
The frequent coming-and-going of the servers was kind of distracting. I didn't have anything, but the food & drink prices didn't seem outrageous like at the ballpark.
On the positive side, they show a message pre-game that you get one warning for disturbances, and will be ejected after that.* Hardly heard the crowd at all, and what I did was appropriate (laughs at a comic scene).* Good sound, and a nice quiet atmosphere to enjoy it.
