What did you guys think of Thor? It was surprisingly good, well acted with good action scenes.

+1

amazing movie. combine heist movie with car chase movie is apparently pure win. haven't had so much fun watching a movie in years. off the charts awesome.

i guess emotional films without too much drama, and a great soundtrack, beautifull scenery and stuff like that?
Stellet Licht. I reviewed it ITT not long ago, and I think it's fantastic so I'l plug it again. I can't recall much in terms of soundtrack (apart from a scene featuring a clip of Jacques Brel), but other than that it fits the description very well. It's quite different from Into the wild, though, but it's really stunning.

Oh and I watched for the first time:

The Passion of Joan of Arc

With the Voices of Light accompaniment, and it was indeed incredible.

And also watched a really great 60s film, but I guess I'll have to post some stills and glowing words for that one after the draft is done.

Watched Hobo with a Shotgun yesterday. I really don`t know what to think.

I had the expectation that I`d love it, but I didn`t.

I enjoyed it as the trashy-over-the-top-violence movie it was, but I didn`t like the villains too much. (except the last 2, they were awesome)

Rutger Hauer is great and I had fun watching him delivering justice one shell at a time.

6/10

rather than study last night, I decided to watch The Graduate.

What an amazing, funny, emotionally poignant movie. I can only imagine what it must have been like seeing this movie in theaters when it came out. Plus, I was constantly amazed by the camerawork and editing. and music! Perfect movie imo.

ok, back to studying...

Okay now I gotta watch The Graduate this weekend! It's sitting up there on my DvD shelf and I haven't seen it in probably 5 years or so and it definitly is due for a rewatch.

BTW, the ending of The Graduate is lifted right from Harold Lloyd's Girl Shy, which you can watch on Youtube.
