I don't know, I've made known here my preference for black date wheels on black watch faces. In this case, with all the white on the watch, the white probably fits better. I'd take a matching green with white lettering.

My nit on bronze watches is that most don't use a bronze crown. But man oh man the patina on a bronze watch over time is beautiful.

From what I remember this is due to mechanical issues with the threads. I think like bronze won't hold a thread as reliably or something like that. I did see someone had made a crown that was steel with a bronze "cap" on it but I don't remember who that was.

I did notice that the Halios has a SS crown with the bronze.

Yeah the caseback is SS as well. I'm sure they have a reason for it, less prone to corrosion maybe?

you want a steel caseback regardless because bronze will leave a big black mark on your skin.

Yeah, what a crap excuse that is. There are tons of materials that don't play well together but there are ways around it, and what you said is exactly one of them. I hate when I see manufacturers charging lots of money for a watch and not making the effort to go the extra distance.

Lots of money? I've never specifically looked for the cheapest bronze diver available, but I'm guessing this comes pretty close.

I think this would go perfectly for someone who wears a lot of khakis and brown stuff. The outfit the guy is pictured in is a perfect example.

I'm on of those people who never wear those colors though. I always wear black and blue.

1. I bought it online from a reputable online site. Does this in any way effect the value of the watch? Is there anything different about it?

2. Is there a good place to sell these types of things for someone with no feedback? I assume forums would be tough(although my rep here could help)

3. Are there any common scams in this marketplace I should be aware of?
1. Slightly; you don't get the same warranty that way. Won't affect price a ton, but many want used watches to come with 'papers'.

2. The places to do it are the sales forums on WatchUSeek.com and TimeZone.com. I would, in your shoes, make very clear that you can prove a trustworthy rep on another forum.

3. There's nothing that's exceptionally common if you're selling (if you're buying, fakes can exist although even that's infrequent). The same stuff you'd find when buying/selling anywhere else still exists of course; people can retract PayPal transfers etc. Best advice is to only sell to people with positive feedback in buying/selling. There will actually be lots of them; many people are constantly flipping pieces.

Im not sure what it is about the Royal Oak design. Its funny in that I dont think it is objectively beautiful but there is something about it that just works.

I agree that it is not as objectively beautiful as some of the patek, lange etc watches. I think it is rare to find a more casual watch with the elegance of a really beautiful dress watch.

A lot of aesthetic based products are hard to judge without seeing them in context. Some watches look beautiful online but meh in person and a lot you can't appreciate until you see it on the wrist where I think the Royal Oak looks awesome.
