Hank had a 15 year stretch where his lowest WAR was 6.2. Extraordinary.

RIP Larry King

I'll have to admit never watched his shows but he is one of those guys who has been around forever and you can't but at least know "of" him.

I liked that Larry King would laugh along with guests. And he wasn't afraid of marriage.

Sandford and Son was a classic.

Gregory Sierra had a small but entertaining part as the ‘crazy-eyed man’ in The Culpepper Cattle Co., a pretty good forgotten western.

I first became aware of Larry King when he had a short stint as the color commentator for the Miami Dolphins back when Don Shula arrived in Miami in 1970. I was 14 at the time and a season ticket holder with two other school friends. The three of us would take our transistor radios with us to the games and listen along to the action and to find out what happened, especially when the action was on the other end of the field. (Our seats were in the west end zone of the old Orange Bowl and there was no such thing as video scoreboards with instant replays in those days.)

RIP Larry

Luke Rhinehart died a couple of months ago. I don't believe it was mentioned. I expect to be informed of such things.

Jimmie Rodgers of "Honeycomb" fame, dead at age 87, on January 18, 2021, in Palm Desert, California. Some claim his head injury was the result of failing to cooperate with organized crime in the music industry.

Bruce Kirby, 95

Prolific character actor for over 60 years, mostly on TV...played DA Rogoff on LA Law and Matt Dillon's dad in Crash. Father of the late, great Bruno Kirby.

One of the faces that when you realize he's in something, you knew it was going to be at least watchable.

Without a doubt.

Although my fondest memories of Cloris Leachman are from her time as Phyliss on the old MTM show, one of my first remembrances of her was from her role in The Last Picture Show. (Although truth be told, given that that was the first R-rated movie I ever saw, not to mention the first full-frontal nude scene I ever saw on the big screen, the naked pool party scene was of much more importance to me as a 15-year-old than Cloris Leachman's Academy Award-winning performance.)

RIP Cloris

You saw your first R rated movie at 15? Was that tropical for the time?

Oh, okay. That makes more sense, lol. IIRC, the age restriction was 17 without a guardian; however, I had gone with my father.

Cloris Leachman's Phyllis on MTM was a masterpiece. I still recognize her character in various self-centered people I meet, and I still think about that one episode where the Betty White character banged her husband.
