At 6' 1" the only time I every felt really tall was riding subways and trains in Tokyo. You would see several thousand people a day and only you and maybe one other person would be above the crowd. Feel sorry for short people on crowded mass transit. And most of the time the other tall person would be a tourist.

In Canada and the US I think you have to be 6' 4" or so to be above the crowd.

I guess it matters a lot to me. All my life I've been 6' 3". Last year at my annual physical the nurse weighed me and then started to measure me and it was awkward for her to get the thing down so I said you dont have to do that I'm 6'3" but she was anal about it said she had to do it. So she does it and says 6' 2" and I groaned and told her she just ruined my day.

5'9 barefoot though? I'm about 5'6.5 barefoot but I always tell people I'm 5'8. I always assumed you can give yourself about an inch and a half for shoes.

I see myself as short and I'm 172 cm barefooot. My height surely hasn't helped me however I don't think it's done much harm either. I believe my height is just at end of what's considered normal.

I think going below and approaching 168 (5'6) will give one a heck of a downside when it comes to attraction. At least that is what I've gathered from my friends and guys who actually are 5'6 and shorter.

I always thought people lied about their height just because, didnt know there was an actual add shoe justification haha

I don't know that I would now because I'd see the benefits much less, I think.

I would have given up a healthy sum of my future earnings to have been 6'3" through high school/college.

I wouldn't pay 1 red cent to be even 1 inch taller, at any point in my life.

I'd pay a few thousand to be able to fly or be immortal, probably. Up to $12,000 for everlasting life or the gift of flight.
