*More sand in the crevice: this time it's all mixed in with suntan lotion, soap, ky jelly, vasoline, skittles, hamster fur etc, and just so gross that you go to the doctor for help.

Category: Movie

This one is one of the more difficult categories for me because I'm not sure how you can grow to hate a movie at all. If I'm bored, the movie is shut off, and I honestly don't know if I'd end up liking if I finished it. I also feel that many movies are purposely bad, and then the others are universally panned, and those targets are too easy.

This movie has a 91 / 98 on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences either think it was ripped off for the Oscar or they think it did win the Oscar. Well, it didn't win **** and it shouldn't have. The voters made a great call on not giving this one single win (slow clap).

This movie is also one I enjoyed when I was younger, but after watching it again, holy cow, it was utterly obvious how tropy, overly long, poorly paced, and just lazy it is.

They say voice overs are the sign of lazy writing, and this movie is a master class in exactly why this is true. Every scene in this movie is absolutely destroyed by the non-stop yakking of Morgan Freeman.

Just think of how powerful this scene could have been if the writers took their own advice: "some things are better left unsaid."



You know what's best left unsaid? Every ****ing line in this movie.
