i think it's tough to say metallica's one is more famous, though i guess it's possible that all those additional U2 fans don't know about their "one" but know metallica's. pretty unlikely.

and being ecstatic when it did. Some early U2 songs are still some of my favorite ever (the 3 I mentioned, 'new years day', few others) from any genre, it's probably why i'm disappointed they made all this drivel the past decade.
