This is an incorrect position for OP to state. He either has to believe your a coward if you have gun for protection or other purposes or your not. No exceptions for police or military, citizens have the same inherent rights to self defense and protection as the cops/military. By default he is saying they are cowards and should use their fists or a cricket bat.

My mom is a retired police officer and she carried a .357 that she owned.

My buddy is a police officer and he's carrying the Glock he bought last year.

No, it's because I'm sick of the argument to begin win, and both sides are mostly ******s who state their opinions as fact, or make up facts with no evidence or proof, all the while not being able to construct proper sentences, much less arguments. You might be the worst offender, actually.

Don't give me any crap about people being poor causing violence. There are many poor people in the USA, we are not a socialist country so there is a wide gap in wealth. There are some rich areas but many poor areas. Drive through Mississippi some time and tell me why that place should be compared to England rather than Jamaica.

Not being racist here, these are just facts about violent crime rates of certain ethnicities. Another factor to consider is when different tribes of people live together, there is more violence due to ethnic tension. So a homogeneous country like Norway would have less crime than a heterogeneous country like the USA. Our diverse culture melting pot country of immigrants has a lot to do with the root causes of crime.

Cities with top 10 violent crime rates in US:

1 Saginaw MI 43% Black
2 Irvington NJ 81% Black
3 Camden NJ 53% Black
4 Alexandria LA 54% Black
5 Detroit MI 81% Black
6 East Orange NJ 89% Black
7 Atlanta GA 56% Black
8 Springfield MA 21% Black
9 Fort Myers FL 33% Black
10 Miami FL 22% Black

Note a lot in states with strict gun control Massachusetts and New Jersey. Racial tensions are the root cause of violence not guns. This is why is is more appropriate to compare the US's crime rate to South Africa, not England. Show a city in Europe that is 50% Black, and then we can have a fair comparison.

Now lets look the Cities with the 10 least violent crime rates:

1 Plano, TX 5% Black
2 Honolulu, HI 2% Black
3 El Paso, TX 3% Black
4 Arlington, TX 13% Black
5 Henderson, NV 4% Black
6 Virginia Beach, VA 21% Black
7 Chandler, AZ 4% Black
8 San Jose, CA 3% Black
9 Austin, TX 8% Black
10 Seattle WA 8% Black

Notice that most of these are in gun friendly states with little to no gun control like Texas, Washington, Arizona and Nevada.

For some reason the FBI did not include Washington DC when compiling these statistics.

I'm not being racist or blaming any race for the violence, just to note that ethnic tensions cause violence. This is why places with a lot of ethnic tension have violent crime and places with less ethnic tension have less.

Like someone said it is not. South America has most of the top slots of murder rate, but the US is not in the top 10-15 as far as I know. I know they are not in the top 10.
