Funny. I couldn't disagree more. PR hunting is the most menial and unpleasant part of wolfing to me. I would rather be arguing.

If the wolves aren't looking for a seer, might it be fair to force them to hunt randomly?

Most other metrics wolves could use to pick which villager they hunt on any particular night don't make for entertaining games. If they hunt active players that bleeds the game dry. If the hunt veteran players that is unkind and also makes the game ever less challenging. Only if they use their hunt nights to get rid of people who are on their trail could the hunts be interesting, only the most obvious wolves should fall for this one though.

The other solution would be to make some villagers unequal. Maybe informing some villagers that they are blessed would do something like that. The villager would try to get hunted, the wolves would like to avoid hunts of blessed players on their path to parity.

The objective when there is no seer is to murder the villagers you believe would stop you from winning the game.

In other words, you're attempting to brain-drain the village by must lynch so they can't figure you out.

Or, WIFOM so it's not obvious what you are doing.

In to Rand seer.

I think we need an angel of sorts.
Angel targets a likely strong player who can get Nk. If wolf Nk that person they lose the Nk that night.

BT actually I agree, having not a single pr gives the village an advantage imo, you have to be a great wolf in order to win a 3 vs 10 as wilf, perhaps not as strong as seer and thus angel is decent.
Tho i don't like angel in the sense that it's either an awesome pr or completely useless until claim

Fwiw* the wilfs*

So we only need one more?

The true WWers will excel in this format.

That's why you don't see any old school soabs signing up. They know they'll get exposed as the frauds they are.
04-18-2015 , 01:23 AM
I would suggest that mid-to-late game bussing attempts would be slightly more effective in this format because there's no risk the seer checks the deep wolf or deep wolves.

Other than that, it's your standard "seer died n1, now nut up and play" game.
04-18-2015 , 01:26 AM
There's also less risk to the wolves if they circle the wagons. You may not be able to tell which bloc of voters is villagers, misguided villagers and wolves, or mostly wolves.

It's fun. It is harder for village, not impossible. If village wins in this format, epicness will be attained.

At 3 wolves but alignment revealed on death, it's not as much of a mismatch as it could be. Every villager needs to believe it is up to them to solve the game, and not get lost if the outspoken aggressive villagers die early.

It's always a vanilla villager's responsibility to attempt to win for their team, not wait for others to solve it.
