2525 CE: The human race makes first contact with the coalition of extra-terrestrial species then-after referred to as “The Covenant,” on a human colony planet called Harvest.

Shortly after first contact, The Covenant alliance, led by the prophets, launched a religious crusade against humanity—claiming humans were an affront to their gods. The campaign called for mass genocide of the human race. Due to The Covenants superior numbers and more advanced technology, the human race soon found itself fighting—and losing—a war to preserve its very existence.

Traveling from colony to colony, The Covenant eradicated all human life it could find. It soon became apparent to the United Nations Space Command that no tactical maneuvers would give them enough of an upper hand to defeat The Covenant in battle. Rather than continue a policy of open warfare, the UNSC decided to cling to the one advantage humans still held over The Covenant—the location of Earth, the human home planet. The UNSC adopted the Cole Protocol, which forbade any ships from making a direct warp jump to Earth in an effort to conceal its location.

You are the last of the human resistance! You are fighting to preserve your species. You must work together to eliminate all threats to your existence. You win when no evil factions are left alive.

Welcome to our HALO Werewolf game. Please make sure you read all the instructions, messages, and write-ups in the OP and in your PM very carefully, as they provide valuable information critical to the mechanics of the game and the potential factions involved. Nothing we include is trivial; everything has a reason. If this is your first time playing Werewolf on POG, please read everything twice to make sure you haven’t missed anything. You’re very likely to get hooked!

This is a mish-mash game of werewolf- if you would like to get a general idea of the roles that could be included in this game, take a look around at the sticky on the POG main page. There is also a useful Wikipedia site with numerous different types of roles. We cannot promise that every role you see has been included in this game, nor can we promise that every role in this game has been used before. Our goal is to make this game as fun and creative as possible for everyone.

Night will fall each night at 8:00pm EST. Votes time stamped at 8:00p, will count, votes time stamped at 8:01 or later will not be counted. If you post past 8:02, or you make any two posts at 8:01 or later, you will be mod killed regardless of your role. End of day actions are due by 8:15 or they will not be counted. Night actions will be due each night at 11:30pm EST. We will try to have the thread open by midnight or so.

Role claiming is permitted, though it is often not recommended. Non-villagers have been given a list of unused characters in the game to claim. Please do not quote any part of your PM.

There are conversion mechanisms in the game. Please keep this in mind.

Nonvillage factions have 24 hour chat in this game unless otherwise specified. Masons also have 24 hour chat. Other than that, no out of thread communication is allowed.

To vote, bold the name of the person whom you would like to vote for in the thread. Nicknames are fine, as long as we can tell who you are voting for. Try to avoid hiding your vote in a big block of text- we will do our best to find every vote, but understand that votes at the beginning or end of posts, or votes on a separate line, will have the smallest chance of being missed.

Due to the large number of players participating in this game, we are instituting a post count limit for the first two days. You may post a MAXIMUM of 20 times on day 1, and 25 times on day 2. If you post more than this maximum on either day, you will be mod killed. We will aggressively sub/modkill players we feel are not actively participating. We are instituting a new policy that we hope will catch on in future games: We will NOT resub in dead players. If we cannot find a sub for you, you will be modkilled. We apologize if this inconveniences your team, but we feel it’s the best solution for many different reasons.

As a reward to you for helping us reach our minimum goal of 50 players, we will have various in-thread events during the course of the game, including in-thread attacks. Further rules regarding in-thread attacks will be provided to you later in the thread. Many of you have already been provided some information via your PM.

As always, please ask all questions via PM or AIM (both bsball and my AIM names are the same as our 2+2 names). Please avoid asking questions in the thread, as this could be construed as a form of angle shooting. Angle shooting of any kind will not be permitted and will most likely result in a modkill if we feel it is occurring.

Be civil. Arguing is fine, but personal insults and repeated swearing is not. You guys know the drill.
