I have obviously a deal with zac.

I've now made five 'the big' finals in a row having been seeded 7-8-10-9-9. LOL daily seedings.

Paul registered in the big 18.

I'm starting my own DC club. While others are waiting until rack 9 to misclick, I'm already doing it in rack 1 (it's yesterdays).

I had some equity today after rack 8, but my run has come to an end.

4 DC wins in a row! A feat that has not been seen ever since Zac won the DCs #2-5.

4 in a row is reallllly impressive, something I'm sure I'll never achieve. You had a couple of brutal downswings this year so you deserve it. Another sick statistical improbability that I noticed was that Meg. didn't win a DC for 5 months and 10 days, pretty sick drought for a blue averaging over 22k.

Clicked on the 50k score to see that Dynasty won two rounds through tiebreaker in CRABSHOOT 441. First time this has happened?

The range of scores in today's DC is crazy. Never seen anything like it.

I really wanted the finals to be a tie.

I made a careless mistake and expected to finish in last place. Instead, I'm ahead of 1/3 of the field.

I'm not claiming to have played this game well.

But, this is what it looks like when everything goes right.

The board certainly looks nice on the surface, but I wouldn't call that game one where everything went right. In fact it is possible to improve all chains (only two at the same time though), which will score higher even when losing some bonus while doing that.

You missed the point. Which in fairness I may not have made all that well. I could explain this in multiple paragraphs, but I don't feel like typing that much, so maybe a checklist will be enough?

What is the correct play in this situation?



I was about to make the results-oriented correct play until backtracking and choosing completely the wrong play. Think the play I made might be better overall though.



Anyone interested in tracking Black Widow stats? Would be nice to get an update on those, but since it seems like NP is too busy to do that, any volunteers to take over? I really don't want to take responsibility for another tourney series. I guess one option would be that I could try to get the already databased stats, move them to google docs, give the link to that and then people could go and update them when they are bored or something. Maybe we would slowly get all of them? Worth trying?

That was the play I was about to make, but with that you can't 4-zone 6s and snake 5s, both of which can be done if there are two more in the rest of the racks. Maybe I'm overthinking this?

dunno, I just want to snake 4s, I need only 1. For 5s and 6s I need 2 and 3, I hope rack 7 shows the way
