Sun, did you really just wake up from a Rival Kingdoms dream?

Pray it's not a nightmare imo.

I don't think he's planning on taking Setsu. I expect him to attack Mushashi or Wakasa next.

We'll take Setsu and then Yamashiro/Echigo.

If he's moving with one large army, we'll be in more places than he can deal with and eventually wear him out or catch him out of position and surround him.

Troop counts should be pretty close by my calculations. He probably has a little more than us but it can't be by much.

In my dream, I was fighting a war on this map but it was the old west rather than feudal Japan. There was a train going around the edge and I used it to get into enemy territory with my horses and attack from behind.

Obviously there isn't really a train but it is all about the horses imo.

I hope everyone understands why mutalisks keep a Terran player from leaving his base and why speed upgraded zerglings prevent zealots from leaving theirs.

With several highly mobile armies, Takeda can't afford to attack us because we can do more damage than he can (take provinces faster). This should force him to defend.

since we have more land them him, even if it is only by 1 location, doesnt that mean that we will be getting (on average) more $$ than he is. thus our army will over time be greater?

yes

We have had a lot more income throughout the game. However we've also spent more on troop upkeep.

For analysis purposes, I have to assume they have the largest army they could possibly have at this point which is a little larger than what we have.

Battle Report Day Phase

The 1 st of March Takeda Shingen marched on Oshiga, he intended to catch Tokugawa by surprise with this bold move and he achieved exactly what he wanted.

Since the province was undefended he was able to quickly take control of the province.

Takeda reputation is increased by the taking of this province, even though its been without a fight (+1)

Battle Report Day Phase

The 7th of March Willd marched on Musashi, following the bold plan from Shingen. He too hoped to encounter little resistance in Musashi and take Tokugawa by surprise.

There were no forces in Musashi and he was able to quickly take control of the province.

Takeda reputation is increased by the taking of this province, even though its been without a fight (+1)

Ok, so they're not consolidated. The plan is to crush their small armies then.

I forgot to include that FCBL-san was leading the forces that invaded Nagato.

That much is known by the rumours that have echoed the nearby provinces.

Mod Note: If someone wants to leave a set movement order that they want to execute at the very beginning of the next Day Phase you can bold it in thread specifying that it is tomorrow's action.

I will process all such "ordered in advance" movements first of all during the Day Phase from tomorrow.

Should there be more than one such action, they would be treated as simultaneous.

Deadline for actions, aka as NIGHT falls in just over 10 hours 20 minutes from this post.

I take this includes everything, even the newly trained troops and you would like this to be processed first thing in tomorrow's Day Phase.

Correct?

Correct?
Yeah. I'll think and look at the numbers and finalize a post with "first thing" orders, but that's the intention for now.

I think they made a mistake in revealing so much to us.

Since the Daimyo led the attack on Oshiga and they have to know we have forces in the west, it's safe to assume that army is their largest one and the armies of Willd and FCBL are small.

They must have assumed we were completely out of position and would be unable to counterattack.

I'll lead the attack from Wakasa.

Leonid, take Setsu.

Bobman, stay in the castle at Awaji until we can get your troop count up.

Uh, I don't really want to sit in Totomi with no troops. Kind of how I got captured a while ago. I would prefer to have some backup or follow with someone else

Forsy, Totomi is the ideal position for you for now since you'll be able to pick up troops from either base as necessary.
