I just got back from Olive Gardens never ending pasta bowl. Damn, for $10 that is one awesome deal. Shoot, the salad and bread sticks alone are probably worth it.

I've seen a person order Fettuccine Alfredo for $11.99, be told by the server that they could get the same size plus refills for $9.99, and reply kindly with "No thanks, I don't think I'll need any refills." Perhaps the server ended up charging them $9.99 anyway.

Spent a large part of my morning (after walking through the cradle of ****ing forestry for 4 miles) holed up in a corner of the pisgah country store that wasn't getting rain. The last two days were brutal...the only time I have intentionally cut short a planned trip. The elevation changes through unmaintained trail were just insane.

Oh yea, I got lost to the tune of 3-4 miles my first night because I missed a turnoff. Decided to detour around the mountain I wanted to camp atop that night. Eventually made the top of what I somehow thought was this same mountain. Woke up to catch it about 2 miles south of me, with a giant saddle separating the peaks.

The other totally awesome "getting lost" story involved taking an old section of unmaintained trail that took a vastly different direction than the slightly newer but still unmaintained trail. It had more blazes then the actual section but I knew I was in the wrong place when I saw etched into the side of a wood post "im turning around"

I also like their plain marinara but didn't have room for that.

my very small senior class went to olive garden for our graduation lunch. the overweight nerd of the group ordered the 'tour of italy' (their biggest meal?) and we all made fun of him.
