as much as I love beer, and pizza, it's really hard to enjoy them both together

the flavors just don't jive

maybe I just haven't found the right combination?
09-27-2017 , 02:38 PM
that is about the worst opinion I've ever heard
09-27-2017 , 02:50 PM
pizza alone strikes a balance of acid and base

beer throws it way off kilter

Bud light probably goes better with pizza than anything that brings its own taste to the table.

Red wine and red sauce pasta are like two Italians talking over each other, the last mouthful getting the last word in.

Indian spices and yogurt are amazing together. Might be the biggest difference in all foods in terms of eating separately vs together.

i ate two jars of pickles last night. i have a pickle hangover
09-27-2017 , 08:18 PM
Never once in my life have I said "man, I really feel like eating two jars of pickles".

You probably just ate three weeks worth of salt and your body is begging you to flush it out. Maybe a nice two week celery root - beet - daikon radish juice cleanse.

It's not the first time I ate two jars of pickles
09-27-2017 , 08:54 PM
I ate 1/2 of one of those giant pickles you find at fairs (or the edge of the counter at your local deli...) I had enough. That was a heck of a lot of salt and vinegar.

2 jars? Baby food jar size?

they better at least have been claussen and not some bull**** cooked pickles
09-28-2017 , 12:45 AM
they were whole foods brand whole dill pickles. normal size jars.

i have one more bottle of expensive super spicy pickles that cost like $9. i'll eat those when my hangover wears off.

It's perfectly acceptable to say "cheers" or "ta" or even a knowing nod in place of a thank you.

I pretty much always say thank you though. I was brought up correctly.

What show are you watching?
downton abbey(rewatch)

i couldn't answer this before because of game integrity for 20 questions game

sometimes they don't even give a knowing nod! like someone will do some life changing favor for them and they'll of course be super appreciative, but they don't show their thanks in anyway at all... sometimes. like they'll just walk away.

also if i was actor in that show, and doing their background chatter at their really fancy parties, i'd probably tell fart jokes and just really offensive tasteless stuff. obviously i mean when you're supposed to be having a conversation but there is no audio

those scenes are interesting to watch. some of the actors are really bad at it. you can see them operating at a much lower gear, almost like they are turned off. that is probably a directing choice though, but it's a poor one, especially when they have a line that is meant to be heard and it's in contrast with their switched off background chatter mode
