Why the hell did I wait so long to start watching Shameless? That show is great! Frank Gallagher is probably the best character on TV right now...Macy just kills it.

Oh hell yeah, I'm a bigtime Shameless advocate. So great. I think I started the ootv season 3 thread. gder first turned me on to that several years ago, the great gder. Who was once unjustly banned by some mod named soah I believe. We got that reversed.

Age of Ultron had SEVEN previews and I am bloated from eating an entire large tub of popcorn. Worth it. Awesome ****ing movie.

I thought I remembered you being a pretty big fan from a while back. I'm 4 seasons in, but I can't find season 5 anywhere. Guess I'll have to wait.

What would you recommend next out of Better Caul Saul, Daredevil or Peaky Blinders (if you've seen them)?
05-07-2015 , 09:54 PM
Better Call Saul
05-07-2015 , 09:56 PM
I like both Peaky Blinders and Daredevil I'm still going on, about halfway thru both. I'm saving Saul, but I hear nothing but raves.

BCS it is!

weird situation at softball tonight

we were beating the other team so badly that one of their girls basically complained to us and then my coach told me to only swing for singles so i was basically not even moving my bat and then i walked the bases instead of running

i felt so awkward because im fairly competitive

i wanted to tell the girl to not play in a competitive league. telling your opponents to 'stop being so aggressive and hitting so hard' is just weird. idk

like i understand kinda taking it easy on them, but at the same time i like to try to hit homeruns and play well
05-07-2015 , 10:04 PM
That is weird

these are adults?
05-07-2015 , 10:42 PM
better caul saul is really good. those other two shows are not worth watching, though, i've only seen the first episode each of them.
05-07-2015 , 10:46 PM
Daredevil is good imo. I have 1 ep to go in the season.

unrealistic fight scenes of course, but you have to expect that in a show about a blind martial arts expert.

I had no intention of watching Daredevil, but it's getting such good reviews I figured I should check it out. I'm almost certain I will like BCS and Peaky Blinders (anything with Tom Hardy in it has to be watchable).

And no offence filthy, but I take all your tv recs with a grain of salt.

I'm anti-MBA for the reason that for the $$$$ spent, I don't think they teach you anything worthwhile.

Real life business experience is >>>>>>>>>>>> an MBA

On the plus side, those three letters on a resume definitely help open doors of opportunity.
You're buying networking and signaling. I thought the theory on that was well established.

F U abcfamily and call the midwife are great!

seriously though, i know when something is just crap that i only like because i'm unbalanced. BCS is genuine effing quality. really a pleasure to watch.

i'll give DD another shot because everyone says how great it is. but the first episode was pretty lame.

if you want some high quality stuff most people don't know about watch honourable woman and rectify. both just really great shows.

Inspector montalbano. It looks great, and he sleeps with at least half the attractive suspects in his cases.*

* my Italian colleague disputes this.

I know quite a few other ways to network and signal that doesn't cost $100K in student loans.

If anything, I prefer to get paid to N&S.

I already watch Rectify. That is very good, agreed. Never seen Honourable Woman and political dramas aren't usually my thing, but I'll give it a look at some point if it's on netflix. Thanks.

Did you finish Justified?

In the UK, you very often do a business degree at least partially part time, whilst continuing to work.

It's 5:30, I have no idea why I'm awake, and the country is going to the dogs.
