To me, 13ers and 17ers have always been completely different games for whatever reason. I like them both; usually I prefer the 17er, even if the 13er may be purer.
I used to like a 25er a lot, but these days posting is too high for them to be enjoyable.

Yes it did. I don't know exactly how I feel about this. I think that unknown roles as a novelty was a cool idea, but as a way of werewolf life, imo the major effect is the addition of even more variance. The puzzle-solving aspect of the game also becomes even more important, the actually werewolf less so; again, as a change of pace I think that's cool but maybe not every time.
