I love me some big mishmashes, until people expect me to actually know what has happened in the game.

There is no better feeling in WW than reading through a whole thread at the end of the game and figuring out how the whole puzzle fits together. But that is too demanding if the thread is too big.

my main character is a druid

unlike flying mounts, changing forms is instant, so druids can do things like jump off cliffs or buildings and fly away

patch 4.3 had a bug that made it so changing out of flight form in midair lost your forward momentum and you would just drop straight down

the most recent patch fixed that so I can do my flying bear shenanigans, etc

I was looking at my first WW game last week (LotR 2 by Sighing).

Was a 28 player game and was a middle ground between a mishmash and vanilla

Interesting how they would reveal all the roles in the OP... A feature that fell out of favor.

I'd say the biggest problem is when they hit the rut finding the last wolf or something and you hit a weekend with 20 posts.
To me, 13ers and 17ers have always been completely different games for whatever reason. I like them both; usually I prefer the 17er, even if the 13er may be purer.

I used to like a 25er a lot, but these days posting is too high for them to be enjoyable.

Yes it did. I don't know exactly how I feel about this. I think that unknown roles as a novelty was a cool idea, but as a way of werewolf life, imo the major effect is the addition of even more variance. The puzzle-solving aspect of the game also becomes even more important, the actually werewolf less so; again, as a change of pace I think that's cool but maybe not every time.

17 is about as many as I can deal with

13 is as many as I can handle well

Like I said in TL's balancing Mishmash thread. You can reveal some roles, without revealing them all.

17rs > all

13rs > everything but 17rs

Further opinions forthcoming after participation ends.

Meh. Hovering players make world pvp less possible. On top of horde/alliance zones (ok I understand the mini starting zones but beyond that should be fair game), super spawning guards and lag. Just meh. But what do I know. I haven't played in over a year. I am waiting for my next free reboot.

This is a strange old Paul Anka song that is relevant to the discussion we were having 3 days ago.
