I had an awesome Inception style dream where I figured out it was a dream and was explaining it to my brother and neighbor, but told them they were just part of my dream so it was useless to be telling them anything, then I opened a door and fell into another dream and lost the realization I was in a dream, then I forget what happened.

I regularly figure out I am dreaming and do crazy things in my dreams like get in shootouts/ jump out of buildings, and other crazy stuff, but it usually starts the process of slipping out of the dream so it is a mental exercise to be aware of the dream and effect what is going on, and remain unconscious enough to not wake up.

I often have dreams where I'm locked in mortal combat with some enemy which I know should easily be able to kill me, like a black bear or a mountain lion or some ninja or something but in my dreams I am able to fight to a draw. I never win though, I just fight them off long enough to escape and then I wake up feeling all tense, even though in the dreams I'm not really scared, just focused

I have legit woken up in a dream within a dream before and knew I was still dreaming, but it didnt last more than a few mins till i left the last dream.

I read a book on lucid dreaming when I was a kid and have had a lot of lucid dreams

I used to have a lot of flying dreams (almost every night) and in some of those I would realize that flying meant I was dreaming

it's kind of bizarre how many times I've been flying in dreams and not thought anything of it though

in grade school I once had a dream where I woke up, ate breakfast, got ready for school, etc.

then I woke up for real and had to do everything all over again

I was a little pissed

I've also dreamed false awakenings from other dreams
