It's always struck me as disingenuous when people have said or implied that mods of big ww games deserve to be cut all sorts of slack and deserve all sorts of praise for all the work they've selfishly done for the players. If any mods actually feel that way, then please just don't mod those games, because there's always a huge waiting list of people that have games they want to run, and there will always be a captive audience to play them. The imbalance has always been on the side of too many games to be run and not enough time/players for them. The mods should be the ones that are grateful for the opportunity to run the game and they should treat the players right. Vanilla games are different because there's no supply of mods for them, and people modding those games usually are doing it as a favor to the players.

I've said this before and it was poorly-received, but it's the truth, and I've always done everything to make my games as smooth as possible for the players, regardless of whether it's one of my big pet projects or just some random turbo, and I've never let my own whims interfere with the game or postgame.

That said, it's pretty asinine to be a dick to someone who just modded a massive game for you that was beyond the willingness/capabilities of almost any other game mods here.
