The only actual musical concert I ever attended was Bob Seger in Landover, Maryland. The year was 1980. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, gus, that's horrible.

I knew a kid in high school who broke both wrists (or lower arms, don't recall exactly which) at the same time. He went up for a dunk in basketball, got his arm caught somehow on the rim and broke that arm, then fell on the other arm and broke that as well.

I hope your daughter isn't in too much pain and heals quickly.

So I guess 1/100. Outside of To Kill a Mockingbird, I don't really feel bad about missing any of those.
you should feel bad about not reading phillip pullman, that's pretty much it.

i saw REM play in '95, they were supported by Radiohead, the cranberries, and sleeper. In retrospect this was like some sort of goat 90s indie lineup.

Book from that list which makes me want to punch a kitten in the taint:

My Booky Wook by Russell Brand

I would have thought the camel book maybe.

even thinking about Kate Mosse and Labyrinth makes me start to hyperventilate with pure spite.

yup. now add in a standing desk at eye level in probably the most busy hallway in my office.

I own one book on that top 100 list but haven't read it. Additionally there's one book on there I'm embarrassed never to have read.

Pretty crummy list, Brits.

Y'all don't appreciate the art of chick lit

Some not-terrible books from that genre on that list

this is the first band i saw live. friends took me to a show after i won a magic ptq for hawaii. it was pretty crazy. i remember the singer hanging from the ceiling upsidedown while singing.

First concert was Huey Lewis and the News, ca 1990. Best concert I've seen was Smashing Pumpkins ca 1996/7. I had tickets to the cancelled show at the Meadowlands when the touring keyboardist and drummer OD'd and the keyboardist died. The rescheduled show was pretty sweet though.

The Minaj song they play on that Pepsi commercial didn't seem too bad. However, I tried to watch the music video for "You a Stupid Hoe". Dear god, that was just a brutal assault on all the senses.

I saw Flight of the Conchords in concert
